The good: the location is almost perfect for staying in Brooklyn. Right on top of the station for the G and L lines. Lots of great places within walking distance.
The bad: the service was abysmal. We desperately needed more sheets and towels because our infant daughter had just gotten sick and we needed to get her comfortable. It took them almost two hours to get us the items, after repeated calls pleading with them.
The ugly: this is a party hotel, which is a pro or a con depending on what you're looking for. For us, it was a nightmare, since we were staying there on NYE (with said infant) on the second floor, right above a loud party that raged until 3am. They should make this very clear from the outset. Otherwise we have no issues with party hotels.

I want to give a shout out to the two employees working the front desk on the morning of January 1st.
I was being a difficult / hungover customer as I could not find my member ID to get free breakfast.
They were incredibly kind / helpful and were nice enough to give my wife and I free breakfast on the house.
Thank you for the great service / hotel!

This place has a ton of bad reviews, but we were pretty happy with it! The room was clean and nice. There were complaints about the floors being scratched up, but they are light colored and just show more things- it didn’t seem bad at all to us. There were reviews about the water not getting hot- but it gets very very hot- it just takes a little bit longer than your typical hotel room. The bed is low to the ground, but it’s fine. Road noise didn’t bother me- I mean, it’s NYC…just being ear plugs if you’re sensitive to that kind of stuff. Staff was very nice. It was an excellent location- subway access just a few steps from the hotel lobby. Safe area. I’d stay here again. I’m not sure about the extra service fee that everyone is complaining about (we will be able to tell after we receive email receipt).

A bit on the pricey side for what you get, though I did stay there during the holiday season so prices were likely higher than normal. I thought the rooms were fairly nice and more spacious than I normally expect of a big city hotel. I found the staff to be helpful and feel like they went above and beyond each time. Being located on the subway line was helpful as well though the rest of the area within a few blocks walk was a bit of a letdown though I did find a great bagel for breakfast. Overall I'd call it a good, if a bit pricey, experience.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. For the cost of staying here, you would expect that if something is left behind, it wouldn’t be stolen by housekeeping. What the hotel may or may not know is that I’ve worked with this hotel multiple times for brand events and have recommended it for talent stays and events. Whether they realize it or not, they’ve made thousands of dollars off my business. When I stayed for my wedding, I received no discount even after mentioning my past events which should have been a red flag but I booked the loft, which was extremely cold even with the heat turned up, but it was my wedding and I pushed through.
I checked in Wednesday and checked out Friday morning. Friday evening, while unpacking, I realized I had left several very expensive items behind. I knew exactly what was missing. I called the hotel and was told to call back because the housekeeping manager wasn’t available. I followed up multiple times over the next two days, was given inconsistent information, and eventually sent a lost-and-found form after no one mentioned it initially.
By Monday, I went to the hotel myself. Suddenly, one of my items the least expensive one was found, despite being told previously that nothing had turned up. The manager claimed the remaining items may have been mistaken for trash. This included full bottles of perfume, an expensive electric toothbrush, and my pearl wedding earrings. There is no way those items were trash and thought it was trash.
I was also told the housekeeping employee was crying and wouldn’t risk their job. I don’t believe that. They was crying because they took my items and didn't want to be fired. I knew exactly what I left behind, and only one item “appearing” after I showed up in person is unacceptable.
Yes, leaving items behind was a mistake, but this was the day after my wedding. Between the lack of follow-up, the inconsistent responses, and the missing valuables, this hotel has lost a customer. If you stay here, double-check everything before you leave the cleaning staff cannot be trusted!
