Worse hotel ever. No coffee available in the lobby until 0800. Waited 40mins for a coffee from the bar in the morning to be told by the bar man - if you are not happy go to Starbucks. And I am paying $400 a night for the service!!! They would have to pay me to stay here again. Lobby staff response when this was explained - the bar staff don't work for us I understand your frustration! The hotel advertises Coffee/tea in common areas - last night when I asked I got told to go to Dunkin Donuts.
Also what is the hidden extra fee added when you arrive of $50 a night for - what is a destination fee. Not offered a free drink when I arrived or a room upgrade either even though I am Diamond Elite - I wish I had read the reviews of this hotel before I booked but I trusted IHG

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly not to loyal IHG elite members.
While this property has potential with an ideal location in the heart of Williamsburg, that’s where the list of positive attributes ends. My recent stay did not meet expectations, particularly given the cost. I redeemed points with a cash equivalent of approximately $425 per night and was informed at check-in that my room was fully covered. However, I was surprised to discover an additional $45 per night “destination fee” added to my folio at checkout. This fee was never mentioned during check-in, and it remains unclear what tangible benefits it provides. As a Diamond Elite guest, I already received breakfast and Wi-Fi, and the website’s mention of a “welcome drink” was neither offered nor would it justify such a charge.
In addition, I applied a Confirmable Suite Upgrade certificate, expecting a meaningful upgrade from the standard 335 sq ft room I had reserved. The “Premium City View Balcony” room I received was described as 540 sq ft but was noticeably smaller—likely closer to 240 sq ft—despite offering a balcony and view. Unfortunately, this made the upgrade certificate feel wasted.
Overall, I left feeling that the value did not align with the cost or elite recognition typically associated with this brand. Clearer communication and accurate room descriptions would go a long way toward improving the guest experience.

The reviews speak for itself. Building is falling apart, lucky if you get a room where everything works how it’s supposed to. Upper management only cares about how many rooms they can turn , maintenance chief does enough to keep his job .

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. They had 1200 people on Friday night in their bars and 800 on Saturday night for Halloween parties. The rooms were so loud and affected by the party no one on our floor could sleep. GM was not understanding at all and the hotel felt like a badly run hostel. People for drunk, screaming and running around the lobby. I felt unsafe the whole night and could not sleep. We were there for a wedding block and I have never experienced such poor service from a four star hotel. I’d stay in a motel over staying here again. Beyond expensive for what they offer. Coffee staff in lobby is unpleasant too. They were annoyed I kept ordering juices.

Really bad hotel with terrible crowd control. They had an event and literally wouldn’t let either hotel guests or event patrons leave (i.e., held them against their will) because they didn’t want it to appear that so many people were leaving the event. Never experienced anything like this before.
