Not a bad place, pretty nice actually. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 start is because of the lack of facilities ( no gym, no laundry). Being someone that travels for work those are 2 things I really need, but other than that, I would recommend this place.

I am submitting this formal complaint regarding my stay at the Holiday Inn located in Brooklyn, NY from Saturday 12/27-12/29 through Monday. Upon checking out at approximately 2:00 PM on Monday, I inadvertently left two prescription medications inside the refrigerator in my hotel room. These medications have a combined value of approximately $1,000 and are medically necessary. I realized this shortly after leaving the property and contacted the hotel by approximately 4:30 PM—well within a reasonable time frame for recovery. Despite multiple calls and follow-ups, I was repeatedly told that nothing could be done. Eventually, I was informed that someone had checked the room but did not locate the medication. I specifically requested that staff check the refrigerator and the trash, as those were the only possible locations where the items could have been placed or mistakenly discarded. I was even willing to return to the hotel—over an hour away—to retrieve the medication myself. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with dismissive responses and a lack of accountability. I was told there was “no proof” the medication had been in the room, which is an unreasonable expectation. Guests are not expected to photograph personal belongings inside a hotel room as proof of ownership. By contrast, hotels are expected to follow proper lost-and-found procedures, especially when it involves prescription medication, which should never be discarded. At no point was I offered compensation, assistance, or a meaningful investigation into the matter. This is a serious failure in duty of care and guest service. The handling of this situation reflects a disregard for guest safety, property, and basic hospitality standards. As a result, I will be escalating this matter to IHG Corporate as well as filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I believe this situation warrants further review, and I expect appropriate corrective action to be taken.

Newer but low quality finishes showing wear. Clean, however issues with hot water, room key cards, and odor. Convenient garage parking. Limited staff support. Poor value for price paid. Charged more than reserved rate.
