I arrived at this hotel, entered the room, and left immediately without unpacking or staying overnight. The conditions were unacceptable. The room was unsanitary, with dirt, trash, insects, and a strong, unpleasant odor. I documented everything with photos and videos taken immediately upon arrival. The environment also felt unsafe. There were intoxicated guests banging on walls, fighting, and shouting obscene language, making it impossible to feel secure or rest. These conditions do not match the description or standards presented in the listing. This was not a matter of preference but a serious health and safety issue. The hotel’s response was equally concerning. When I raised these issues, the front desk staff was dismissive and rude. I was told that if I did not like it, “no one was forcing me to stay.” I was also incorrectly informed that a refund was not possible because of Booking, which later proved to be untrue — the refund was declined directly by the hotel. Offering a room change does not address systemic problems related to hygiene, safety, and management. I strongly advise other travelers to avoid this property. The conditions and behavior I encountered raise serious concerns and, in my opinion, warrant inspection by health and safety authorities.

A decent hotel; pricey for what you get, but typical of the area. Two different families reserved rooms at the hotel for one night just before Christmas. Overall, the hotel was clean, and the location is very convenient for walking around Dyker Heights to view the elaborately decorated houses there. The staff at the front desk was professional and helpful. When checking in, they couldn't determine that either room had been pre-paid. Rather than simply saying that we'd have to charge our room again, and work it out with our credit card companies, the staff member called their manager who confirmed that our rooms had already been paid for. When entering one of the rooms, the smell of smoke was very strong. We brought this to the attention to the front desk, and they immediately moved us to another room. We didn't utilize the internet while there, nor did we try the complimentary breakfast, so I can't comment on either one. I'll also point out that the street parking for visitors in this area, like much of Brooklyn, is very limited. Plan to drive around for ten - 15 minutes searching, and potentially having to walk a bit. With that in mind, you'll likely want to check in first while your car is double parked in front of the hotel, then go searching so you won't have to carry your bags walking back to the hotel.
