  We used the avid hotel for our hotel wedding block and for the bride & bridesmaids to get ready the morning of the wedding. Rachel was an absolute pleasure to work with through the booking process and was so helpful and kind on the day of check-in. We did shop around for other hotel blocks in Brooklyn to get the best price for our guests and the avid was it! The rooms were very clean and it still feels like a new hotel. Perfect location being across the street from one of the best bagel shops in the area! The regular rooms are quite small but that is expected for NYC hotels, but the accessible rooms were a perfect size!

  Hot room, cold shower, clean. Breakfast was fine. The attendant was attentive and clean. Turkey sausage, potatoes, and scrambled eggs in chafing pans were adequate. Bagels, bananas, instant oatmeal, Raisin Bran. The desk clerks were friendly. Decor was simple but functional. We could cast to the TV, there was a small mini-fridge, iron and USB ports on the night stand that worked. (No mini USB or outlet on the nightstands) Great counter style desk area with a roller desk chair. The only problem was that the room was extremely hot without the AC on. It was 32 degrees cold outside and the room was 83F when we arrived. Thankfully the window opens a few inches so we could cool it down but temperature was a battle all night. We had to have the A/C on to keep the room below the 70s. Good enough is you are in the area. We came in overnight before boarding QM2 at Red Hook. Basic hotel that’s clean, safe, and affordable.

  Liebes Avid Hotel Team Wir haben uns aufgrund der positiven Bewertungen für dieses Hotel entschieden und sind definitiv nicht enttäuscht worden. Wir haben hier zwei Zimmer für insgesamt sieben Personen (drei Erwachsene/4 Kinder) gebucht, für 8 Nächte. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend in der Größe, sehr sauber und komfortabel ausgestattet (Matratzen sind absolut top zum schlafen und erholen). Das einzige, was uns gefehlt hat, war die Möglichkeit Sachen in einem Schrank hängen/legen. Die Haken an der Garderobe und auch die bereitgestellten Kleiderbügel waren nicht ausreichend, alles aufzuhängen, und somit blieb der Koffer immer griffbereit stehen. Was wir ganz groß hervorheben wollen, ist die Sauberkeit im gesamten Hotel. Egal wo, auf den Gängen, im Frühstücksraum, in der Lobby oder selbst im unteren Bereich des Hotels Richtung Garage war alles top sauber. Das gesamte Personal war immer freundlich, hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und ordentlich. Zum Frühstück selbst, da hätten wir uns bei acht Nächten etwas mehr Abwechslung gewünscht. Was besonders hervorzuheben ist, ist der 24/7 Service mit Kaffee von Costa Kaffee, Tee und Wasser, immer kostenlos im Aufenthaltsbereich des Hotels. Wir haben uns am Abend in der Gegend ums Hotel mit kleinen Lokalitäten gut versorgen können. Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal, um New York City zu erkunden. Man kommt mit einem Bus direkt vor der Haustür in die Stadt. Des Weiteren gibt es eine U-Bahn-Station 10 Minuten Laufweg vom Hotel entfernt. Besonderes Highlight zur Weihnachtszeit ist das festlich geschmückte Viertel Dyker Heights nicht unweit vom Hotel entfernt. Wir sind mit allem rundum zufrieden gewesen und empfehlen dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt für einen Besuch der Wahnsinnsstadt NYC .

  Came down for breakfast. There were no cups for orange juice. I notified attendant. She says ok. I went up to my room and came back. When I came back down she was still standing in same place at desk. Still no cups for orange juice, so I used coffee cups
