This would be a zero star review if it was an option. Just an absolutely awful hotel experience. We have always felt we could expect a consistently good experience from a Best Western hotel, but this stay was abysmal. Upon check in, we were given a room that was occupied, and by a somewhat "concerning" individual, as he was quite annoyed and watched us return down the hall towards the hotel lobby. Our next room was in a wing under renovation which was extremely dirty, and construction materials stacked down the hallways. The second night we returned just after 10:00 pm, and experienced a party in the basement under our room, with music so loud our floor vibrated. After a trip to the front desk, we were told it was ending in 10 minutes, which actually ended about an hour later. Our third and thankfully final night, a Sunday night, our return was greeted with construction being done in the room next to ours, with a running tile saw and hammering at 7:00 pm. I spoke with the contractor, who honestly seemed surprised that someone was in the room next door, so he stopped using the tile saw after about 20 minutes, yet construction continued. After yet another trip to the front desk, the staff member (a really nice person, he was the only positive of the stay), he called someone, and the construction eventually ended just shy of 10:00 pm. Again, on a Sunday night, and we had an upcoming early morning flight. The hotel lobby was extremely dirty, the stay was the worst we ever experienced in any hotel, and the only positive was the front desk staff was very nice. Sadly, we will never return, which is extremely disappointing, as we now have family in Bay Ridge with no good second option geographically.

It honestly was not the most pleasant experience/stay. After traveling for over 14 hours, we arrived at check in and the receptionist was very pleasant. That was the only thing that stood out. We were alarmed to find out that there is no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up the service/ emergency stairwell. The steps are very steep and slippery. After returning from dinner, we were also alarmed by the smell of weed in the hallway. The smell permeated into our room and I woke up with a splitting headache and a round of nausea. For $160 a night, I expected a little bit more.

Do NOT stay here. It's a rip off ⬆️ 1.) the plates smell like a strong chemical so do not use the plates at breakfast, just don't. The smell is so strong it'll make you sick. 2) I'm NOT racist but the Indian lady that's normally here on the weekends can't handle her job and tries to bully people out of the room even when your about to pay her. She's pushy rude and immature 3) the elevator has been down for MONTHS and they still want to charge rooms that don't have everything work properly. If you want to go cheap I'd say hit up flushing because at least there elevator works.

We had checked in this hotel, March 9th, My friend and I were taking a class in the area, The toxic smell of the cleaning solution fabuloso was so toxic, We had to check out of the hotel. My throat started getting scratchy. My friend started getting a headache. The smell on the hallway was 100 times stronger than the rooms, I put my hand over my nose walking on hallways , In the room We put pillows on the bottom of the door frame to stop the odor from coming in and that didn’t help. After feeling sick, we decided to look for another hotel in the area and check out. I can’t believe that the people that work in this hotel have to breath this all day. I don’t think they realize this is straight poison to them and their guest. We got a room at the avid hotel nice and clean zero chemical smell. I understand if this cleaning solution is affordable but you will pay way more with your health.

I have officially lost all trust in the Best Western brand after my stay at this NYC location. What should be a flagship example of the chain is instead a total reputation killer. My experience was unacceptable from check-in to check-out. • The Elevator Crisis: The elevator was out of service and, according to locals/staff, had been for weeks. Despite this, the front desk watched us struggle into the lobby with four large suitcases and still assigned us a room on the top floor without a word of warning. • Health & Safety: Because the elevator was broken, we were forced to use the stairwells, which were littered with uncollected garbage bags. We also passed the maintenance room left wide open and unattended, a blatant safety risk. • The "Breakfast": Calling it "food" is a stretch. It was entirely processed, watered-down garbage. The coffee was cheap instant powder, and there was zero fresh fruit or real nutritional value. • Deceptive Pricing: I was completely misled regarding the parking rates, adding an extra layer of frustration to an already expensive trip. • Room Quality: The rooms are old, dirty, and lacked basic amenities not even a coffee machine was provided. Final Verdict: There was zero empathy and zero service. It is a shame that Best Western allows a hotel in such a city to operate in this state. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere.
