Nice place for the affordable rate and being up in the trees by heavenly ski resort. Me and my wife were looking forward to using the club house indoor/outdoor pool and realized they did not heat up the water warm enough to be enjoyable. We would have been cold if we got in so we decided to not use it. The hot tub was also boarded up with wood and not working. Our experience with the checkin staff was not the greatest either as the gentleman that helped out was very sick and sneezing while assisting us. He left many details out as far as how to get to our room and what amenities were included at the large property. We also tried the bar at the club house for a happy hour drink and it was shut down. Overall decent remolded room but the resort needs to have better staff and also maintain there pools/hot tubs.

Have been coming annually for years, it's our getaway and rest spot. Recent renovations are great, but miss the Sleep Numbers 🤷

Stayed here in early July for 3 nights so the resort was relatively quiet. Gorgeous views all around. No AC in the rooms in the summer is a bit of a deal breaker, yes the windows do open for a night time breeze but its not adequate, room service was nonexistent.

I read all the reviews before coming on this trip and wasn’t sure exactly what to expect, but because of my experience… I wanted to leave a review so other travelers like myself can rest assured on their choice.
I stayed in a one bedroom suite and would like the managers to update the pictures because it was WAY BETTER than any of the pictures on the website. The property is getting slowly renovated and I was clearly in a new suite. The hot tub on the roof was clean and a great temperature.
The front desk crew was very friendly and responsive via text, as they suggest when you check in. Need something? Shoot them a text and it’s right there.
There is a shuttle from tower to Club House etc, so don’t worry about hoofing it around the sprawling property. Elevators and luggage carts too, quick and accessible.
Is this an all inclusive resort? No, but it’s got the feel of luxury for those of us with not necessarily unlimited budgets.
Quick hop in a car to town, or readily available Ubers for a night out with a friend for drinks. Couldn’t be any more convenient unless you want the activity of the casino strip.
I did the sales pitch as part of the promo for coming here and while they have it nailed down, I am not in a position to become an owner at this time and they simply thanked me for my time and sent me on my way, cash in hand. Nothing overbearing, but they do have the pitch down to an art.
Anyways, I hope to come back some time and bring a friend. This time I traveled alone and really couldn’t have had a better experience.

Getting married at Tahoe Ridge Resort was an unforgettable experience. The ceremony garden overlooking the Carson Valley and the upstairs ballroom, though slightly dated, were absolutely beautiful. Surrounded by pine trees high on Kingsbury Grade, the location felt both private and affordable—a rare combination.
We initially chose TRR for the great group rates, and while we opted to stay elsewhere due to the lack of A/C in the newly renovated rooms, this likely wouldn’t be an issue outside of August.
Blair Kerr, Director of Catering and Events, was a true gem—kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly supportive from our first conversation through the big day. She was honest, patient, and always responsive, even with my endless seating chart updates and decor questions.
The vendor tasting was super helpful. Tina’s (Lavish Floral) floral designs were exactly what I envisioned, Deon Pearson (Tru Blu) made the entire night flow seamlessly, CJ Varela Photography captured every moment effortlessly, and Sharon Rusk’s ceremony templates were both creative and heartfelt—we were honored to be one of the last couples she married.
The TRR staff exceeded expectations. Despite a morning event, they flipped the venue in under an hour. Catering was timely and thoughtful, accommodating dietary needs, allergies, and custom requests. Even the bartender added character with his dry humor and quick service.
Everyone at the event from family and friends were blown away. We couldn’t have asked for a better team or setting. Highly recommend!
