  I stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Reno West on Monday and Tuesday nights for a business trip and booked it the same afternoon on the Hilton app. I was checked in about 30 minutes later when I arrived, which felt like a small win on a work travel day. The staff was friendly from the start, and the hotel sits on the west side of Reno with easy access off I-80, so getting in and out was simple. My room was comfortable and pleasantly quiet overall, and the bed was legitimately good—I slept well when the room stayed at the temperature I wanted. The hotel was also in the middle of a remodel during my stay, but I didn’t deal with noise or chaos, and it didn’t affect my ability to rest or get out the door on time. The main issue was the AC system. It kept resetting about every two hours to 76 degrees, which yanked me out of sleep more than once. That’s the kind of thing that sounds minor until it happens at 2:00 a.m. and again at 4:00 a.m. Breakfast looked like the usual Hilton spread, so I passed and grabbed something else. Even with the thermostat battle, I’d stay here again for a comfortable, convenient business stop. 4/5 stars.

  If I could give a 0 I would. We always stay at a Hampton as it’s our favorite spot they are always very nice, accommodating, clean, and ready to help! We have never had a problem. I recently booked one night with them noticed the dates were wrong I tried to cancel and was unable to do with out paying the $165 fee. I then contacted the hotel and asked to switch the days all I wanted was one day earlier so nothing major. I even seen on the website they had availability for the night I wanted. I was denied the request to change the day and am still be forced to pay the $165. Now I have to travel over night with 2 young kids. Won’t be booking at this specific Hampton again. Very poor management.

  I reserve a wrong hotel which name is very similar with this one, but the staff at front desk called Destiny help me out very patiently to change the reservation to this one. We were exhausted after 5 hours driving, and Destiny solving our problem just like an angel. BTW, location and room facility are pretty good!

  Good alternative location for skiing around Tahoe at a reasonable price during ski season. Room was clean and recently renovated. The big problem: the restroom sliding door does not fully close — there’s about a 2-inch gap due to a badly installed stopper. When I asked the front desk to fix it, the guy told me this was an “intended design” for safety reasons and said nothing could be done. That explanation felt like a lazy excuse to avoid doing anything. A bathroom door that can’t fully close is unacceptable and completely ruins privacy.
