    DON'T DO IT! Terrible experience! Went with the timeshare presentation package. Not worth it even if it was free. Room was dated, moldy DIRTY bathroom. Stains on the sheets and carpet, bed , bugs in the bed. Hard bed very uncomfortable. My guest woke up with bites all over her body. Even the bottom of the tub was peeling! You have to walk past about 6 people an hour trying to sign you up for a free gift even when they just saw you 10min ago getting coffee. Everytime you leave the room... Walking telemarketers .The lady in the presentation was basically trying to bully me into buying, tried to keep me there 5 hours. I moved my appointment earlier for flight changes. From 1230pm to 11am (which took 4visits to welcome center and 3calls) Completely ignoring time constraints after 2.5 hours .Refusing to payout deal I was promised because i didn't want to buy the package. Rude ,dismissive Bully tactics trying to hold you hostage or Refuse to give you a gift if not interested. Was even told I'd be banned from westgate for wasting her time not getting the package. They are very friendly until you say no then YOUR a problem. The woman told me my hotel experience was bad because I didn't buy a package. If I bought the package next time I'd be Vip on the nice side ,but not this stay! The employee said the hotel has nothing to do with Westgate and I'll never be satisfied or happy because I was not ok with moldy NASTY ROOM that was basically free. Plus they charge 25 a day for a microwave to rent. Was told parking was free. It was not, 26 a day Don't waste your time. There ARE better places with better service. With or without a package. Plus, they make it impossible to redeem the free gift once you finally get what's promised! 4 calls later no one can activate the "Free" gift!

    My boyfriend and I arrived at the Westgate on an extremely busy Saturday during the APA World Championships, and it was clear right away that the hotel was juggling multiple events at once. Before we even reached the front of the line, we found ourselves noticing one employee who stood out, Craig. He had this natural, genuine energy, smiling and engaging with guests in a way that instantly caught our attention. We literally said to each other, “We hope we get him.” Luckily, we did! And he exceeded every expectation. Craig greeted us warmly, asked about our travels, and made us feel like more than just another check-in. We had a few specific requests for our stay, and he didn’t just accommodate them, he made it happen effortlessly and even surprised us with complimentary tickets. It felt like he truly cared about our experience, not just doing his job. On top of that, finding out he’s a former APA player made the interaction even more special, it felt like we were being helped by someone who genuinely understands why we were there. Craig is the kind of person who elevates the entire experience. Professional, personable, and clearly passionate about what he does. He stood out like a shining star before we even got to the desk…and somehow impressed us even more up close. Westgate is lucky to have him.

    We paid for and stayed three nights , at check-in we asked if we could extend to four nights , no problem the clerk said. Went to pay for 4th day and to stay in same room magically they are sold out and not possible. All rooms booked on the date of the forth night. So I inform the desk that on line there are rooms available but only if we book another three nights past the original three days paid. So they scrambled a bit on the computer to see what they can do… Now there are two rooms available all of a sudden at $1200 Per night if we wanted to stay that fourth night. The irritation starts!! There are no microwaves or coffee makers in the rooms so you are forced to purchase from all the airport priced restaurants in the building. Not surprised it is Vegas, but no microwave, really?? Just to top off the policy of “ you will buy everything from us here “, we walked out to the pool and there is a security check like a concert, Of course we had two drinks in hand, plastic cups no glass. Got turned away , no containers accepted unless empty even water so you have to buy liquid at the pool concession. Maybe this is no surprise for most people but the topper of this story is the hidden resort fees we got on our credit cards for the rooms booked. The hotel added another $270 on my credit card beyond the cost of the room. This isn’t a pending room incidental charge just straight up charge for a resort fee? False advertising from the hotel for cost of stay It’s not what’s advertised. If you choose to stay at the West Gate in Vegas be prepared for lies on cost and it plays out as I described. Wouldn’t ever stay here in my life on the principle of the management knows this is how they screw people and it’s shameful as a business and not ok.

    I stayed at the Westgate Las Vegas in March with a couple of friends. We were horrified to find an active bedbug infestation in our room, but what was worse was the disappointing manner by which this was handled by the hotel. We found the first bedbug the morning after we checked in. Upon finding the first bedbug, we immediately contacted the front desk who sent security to file an incident report. We were told at that time they did not have any rooms available to move us to as the hotel was completely booked the night before. We showed security photos of the bedbug which he documented. He asked if we had any bites on our person, which we did not at that stage (Bedbug bites can take days to appear). Shortly after security left, we found a second bedbug which we kept in a cup. We took that down to the lobby to request a new room ASAP. My friend was also scheduled to attend a timeshare presentation that morning. We were given the complete run around before they finally gave us a new room nearly an hour later, after talking to 4 different people. They also were not able to cancel the timeshare presentation for us and told us we needed to contact another manager to get that cancelled, who was not physically present at the hotel. We were later charged for not attending the timeshare presentation and had to send numerous emails and phone calls to get that charged removed. The hotel tried to cover up the infestation and said that their own investigation came back negative, despite us having found 2 bedbugs within an hour and keeping a physical bedbug specimen until we checked out. My friend and I also had bites on our person which appeared the following day. Stay away from this hotel. They have predatory sales tactics for their timeshares and did not perform a proper investigation for pests on the room despite having ample evidence. We dealt with this every day of our 3-night trip due to complete mismanagement of the situation by the hotel and timeshare company.
