Your hotel's utter incompetence has single-handedly destroyed what was supposed to be a critical business trip, rendering the entire miserable exercise POINTLESS!
We arrived, expecting the professional service befitting a business establishment, only to be met with the appalling news that you had LOST OUR RESERVATION! LOST IT! How does a modern establishment lose a confirmed booking?! This isn't the 1950s!
Because of this catastrophic, unforgivable failure, we were delayed and subsequently MISSED OUR ESSENTIAL BUSINESS MEETING! Do you comprehend the magnitude of this error?! The entire purpose of flying here, the cost, the time, the preparation—ALL OF IT WAS FOR NOTHING! Your negligence has jeopardized professional relationships and potentially significant opportunities!
And then, as if to rub salt in the wound of your abysmal performance, your front desk had the audacity to offer us a "solution" that was nothing short of a CRUEL JOKE! They handed us tickets to a ROLLER COASTER THAT HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN FOR MONTHS! MONTHS!
Are you insulting my intelligence? Are you so disconnected from reality that you're offering defunct, worthless tokens as a meaningful apology for wrecking a business venture?!
This isn't a simple inconvenience; this is a spectacular failure of customer service and basic organizational management. We demand an immediate explanation and a serious, commensurate resolution for the severe damage and waste your hotel has inflicted upon us! I expect a response that acknowledges the gravity of this disaster!

Worst experience ever got charged a smoking fee and I dont even smoke.. $500 fee.. my minor daughter and I passing through as I had dental implant surgery. Stop there to get a night sleep and let my daughter see vegas.. go to check in get asked 1 or 2 beds i say 2 asked smoking or non i dont smoke so I said non smoking go up to room to relax and order food and went down stairs out front to wait for it.. in their mind it makes sence that appartley right before I left the room I hot boxed the room smoking something becaaue they got a reading of 500 AQI ( that's the highest reading available) but to them it would make sence 2 mins before I left i would smoke in a non smoking room walk through a casino that I can smoke in go sit out front for 45 mins waiting for my food where I could smoke if I did but never did and they wouldn't look at Cameras. Than when I talked to a manager no one would walk up to the room with me cus there sensor went off and since I was in the room at that time I was guilty.. now back to 500 AQI if it was that high they should have evacuated everyone called the fire department. This was worst experience ever.. for a non smoker to get charged for a fee like this and get called a liar and nothing i can do is terrible. When I told manager why would I take a non smoking room and smoke in it when I could habe have a smoking one his repsonce was well you would have been downgraded from the room I had.. what? That is dumbest shit i ever heard youvmean I could have paid less for the room we were just sleeping in for the night? Again why wouldn't I have? I will never stay at this hotel or las vegas again in general. We didnt even stay at this hotel 10 hours got in at 6 pm and left by 4 am on top of it all they not only charged me $500 for smoking they kept there $70 security deposit I was suppose to get back when we left also.. its shameful this place is hurting so bad they got to treat customers like this.. didnt even get to go to the casino like I would have liked too cus out trip was ruined.

Horrible experience. Not sure where to start first. Walking through the hotel there's a very smoky and old building smell. Our room was in the North tower. This Tower was supposed to be very recently renovated. I'm not sure what that means to the Strat. The room smelled musty. The two lighting fixtures on either side of the bed were hanging off the wall and did not work. The only light that we had was in the corner of the room. I sat on the bed and it felt broken. There was support from the mattress at the top of the bed and at the foot of the bed but as soon as you sat in the middle you were laying on the wood underneath. I went down to the desk and they switched us to another room. This room the lighting was okay but the bed was pretty much the same. We took a shower that evening and after about 2 minutes shower floor was full of water as the drain did not drain. There was also a black mold spot about 6 in in diameter in the bathroom . Also this room had the same musty smell as the previous room. The air conditioner was very very noisy. We had trouble sleeping all night. We decided to have dinner at top of the world and were excited about the view in that it's 900 feet up . We ordered steak and stuffed lobster tail. The steak was okay but not $80 okay . The stuffed lobster tail was $110 and when it came out it looked like mush . We tried a couple of bites of it and noticed that most of it was a bread filler instead of lobster meat . For $110, I would think there wouldn't be a bread filling . The View was fantastic but the food was absolutely horrible especially for the price . Stayed six nights in Vegas and this definitely put a damper on our trip. Would not stay here again if you paid me. There are so many better hotels to stay at for the price. I don't see how this hotel had a three or four star rating it's more like a one star. If I could leave less than a one-star rating I would. Very disappointed . Stay away

My husband and I were extremely excited to stay here, until we actually got there.
Self check in was difficult and was trying to charge us more than our reservation said. We waited in line and once we got to a rep they were rude. He told us what we owed and I told him we had prepaid. He then explained the extra charge was a deposit that would be refunded (still waiting for that…). I then asked how we went about parking as the website we booked from said it was included. Again rudely we were told it was an additional cost of $21 a day.
Once we got to our room I noticed the floors weren’t as clean as I would expect and there were only 2 bath towels with no other toiletries. At this point we were so tired we didn’t care. We decided to go to dinner at one of the hotel’s restaurants- except none of them were open (not including the one at the top which we were told you have to pay to get in before even getting to a table). We ended up door dashing night 1. Night 2 and 3 there was one option.
All of these things weren’t a huge deal rather annoying and just a reminder for next year…
The final straw was check out. We went to check out and were told we were being charged a $500 smoking fee. We disagreed and they brought out a manager who had a report which she couldn’t explain what a smoke index is but showed another number. She told us that we definitely smoked in the room even though it wasn’t a very high number. We did not smoke in the room. Pretty ironic there are sensors in rooms of a casino that allows smoking!? (Upon doing research several other hotels have discontinued and removed said sensors because they are not accurate and do not work properly). My husband and I asked the manager about the accuracy of the sensors as the temp listed on the report was no where near what our room was at. She wouldn’t explain anything other than the smoke number and told us we definitely smoked in the room. My husband and I were baffled and pretty speechless.
Needless to say I was extremely let down and bummed out that the stay we had was nowhere near what I had envisioned.
Do better Stratosphere.

You don't want to stay here, trust me. Stayed at The STRAT for 7 nights and got hit with a $1,275 overcharge that the front desk manager Tiera Robinson doubled down on—until I escalated it all the way to the CEO, at which point Tiera Robinson, the manager, suddenly “found” the mistake. That tells you everything you need to know about the billing integrity here.
If they try overcharge you or create a bogus $750 smoking fee, go above the manager's head and contact the CEO of Best Western. He will fix the problem for you because this hotel has horrible customer service and poor billing integrity.
This place plays the same tired game you’ll see in other reviews: invent a fee, dig in when you question it, and only backtrack when someone higher up gets involved. Their favorite trick seems to be the $750 “smoking in the room” fee—even when guests didn’t smoke.
They rely on an air sensor that allegedly detects smoking. For literally ONE MINUTE of my 7 nights, their system made a false alert and Tiera Robinson, the manager, tried charging me $750 for it after already overcharging $525 at check-in.
Go read the other reviews; people are literally talking about a class-action over unfair charges. I’m interested in joining, because this isn’t a one-off—this looks like a pattern.
Specifics of my stay:
* $1,275 mysteriously tacked on
* Manager Tiera Robinson refused to fix it when shown the math
* Only corrected after executive escalation to the CEO of Best Western. Google his email address if you have problems here, especially with Tiera. The CEO is already aware and will fix the problems she causes.
If you absolutely must stay here:
* Photograph the room at check-in and checkout
* Demand a printed folio and compare it to your card statement
* Use a credit card with strong dispute protections
* Do not accept “you’ll see it fall off” as an answer
Vegas has plenty of hotels that don’t treat guests like a line item to pad. The STRAT—and manager Tiera Robinson in particular—made this the most stressful hotel experience I've ever had. I won’t be back and I highly recommend you avoid this property also.
