I booked a room ant the strat for a business trip being held in Las Vegas and flew in from Savannah ga. I Was suppose to Check in at 3pm that afternoon on the 3rd of Jan but my flight was delayed so I checked in later the next day at 6am. I went to the room and left 30 min later to get some ice leaving the door cracked. I then checked out at 11:00am that same day. My card was charged $131.00 3 January 2026 and again January 4 2026 for $491.00. I called to see why I was charged again and was told it was because the smoke alarm went off for smoking in the room. First off I don't smoke and didn't hear an alarm. She stated the alarm is silent. No one came to the room to see why it went off or what was the problem. First off I don't smoke neither do I vape. I was then told it would trigger the alarm for anything combustible.ie candle, vape, cigarette or even flicking a lighter. Seems to me it was another way to fraud clients. Since you don't hear it and no one comes to see or tell you it went off you would never know. You then get charged after you checked out. Once you see the charge after you have left the resort, you are then told it's because of the alarm. You are not told while you are at the resort, only when you have left. It's not fair for one being charged this outrageous amount when you know you didn't smoke. You have no way of desputing it because you have already left the resort and your card is ran for the second fee and you have already left and at the airport. It takes away from the money you have to enjoy yourself while visiting. Also what's even worse is that if you book for multiple days and the alarm keeps going off you are charged for each day without them even telling you because no one ever comes to the room to tell you it went off. As I said before no one comes to the room, call the room’s phone or your personal number on file. You have no way of knowing until your card is charged the second time and you have already left. It's fraud at its best….be smart and book another location and ask about this prior to booking. I had to have my bank get involved and they couldn't even believe it. When I called the resort prior to boarding the representative was really rude and kept talking over me not allowing me to explain. She then transferred me over to her supervisor and she did the same and hung up on me. I tried calling back numerous of times and kept being put on hold for over 20 min each time. It was like it was rehearsed and knew to do the entire scheme as they did. Charge them the second time after they have checked out, when they call keep transferring them, put them on hold for over 20min each time and eventually they would have to give up because they are now at the airport ready to board and can’t do anything but accept the charges. Please be smart and ask these questions about the so called silent alarms because the Strat employees won’t. Please book else where because the employees are rude and the rooms aren’t as good as you may think. The ratings shouldn’t be as high as they are and please rate each resort stay so others can see and not get scammed.

We were told at check in that we did not have to pay for parking if we were guests of the hotel. Upon trying to leave, a very rude girl at the exit refused to just let us through and sent us to the front desk to get a “validation slip” which doesn’t exist. Marie (very unprofessional as well) at the front desk informed us that they don’t do that and we needed to go back to the exit and they would bill the room. Fine, perfect. We go. Again, the very disrespectful and rude girl, refuses to do what the front desk assured us she would. We did not budget for this stupid $21 charge, the surely they do not need that bad. Just open the gate, it’s that simple. But no, she wouldn’t budge. Call me cheap, but this was so unnecessary and unprofessional. Every other casino on the strip allows free parking for guests of the hotel. The entire staff here is rude and unhelpful. Oh and almost got trafficked in the women’s bathroom too. Save your money and go somewhere else.

The room we checked into had dirty linens in the bathroom which I threw into the other room out of disgust (as seen in the photo lol). The drain in the sink was broken and could not be opened to drain properly. Additionally, there are no complementary toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc that the most basic hotels have. Now you may ask yourself why didn't we change rooms? We got in at midnight from a long day of flying with multiple delays, and by the time we realized this we were to tired to move to another possibly bad room. The sheets LOOKED clean and that was good enough for us at the time to sleep. As a result of multiple delays we didn't have our luggage and that's why we needed the toothpaste/toothbrush. I would like to say the woman that helped us get checked in was incredibly helpful. She helped us figure out food delivery because we were starving and answered all our questions about checking in/out, and morning food before our re-booked flight.

We stayed at the STRAT for New Year’s, and overall it was a very comfortable and pleasant experience. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of room to relax after long days out on the Strip. One thing we really appreciated was the self-check-in kiosks. The process was quick and efficient, and we didn’t have to wait at all. It easily saved us 30–40 minutes, which is pretty typical at large casino hotels (especially around New Year’s) so that was a big plus and helped us start our trip stress-free. The hotel’s location is another thing to note. Since it’s the first hotel on the Strip (Northside), it’s a bit far from the main hustle and bustle. The upside is that it feels calmer and less chaotic, but the trade-off is a 30-40 minute walk to reach the more happening areas of the Strip. Depending on your plans, this can either be a peaceful bonus or something to plan around. Parking was plentiful and convenient, though it does come at an additional cost of $20 per day. Overall, considering the comfort, cleanliness, and smooth check-in experience, especially during a busy holiday, it was a good value for the price we paid.

Arrived for check in on my birthday, used the kiosk which was fast but was told by security that there was no bell desk. After manually transporting all of my luggage through the parking garage and casino to my assigned room, I walked into a complete disaster. Dirty room, beds unmade, mattresses tossed off the beds (see picture). Took all my luggage back downstairs and waited in a long line to speak to a front desk agent who pointed me to the manager, Francisco. I approached and he ignored me for a while until I made it obvious that I was standing right in front of him. I told him what had happened and showed him the picture of the room to which he responded “what do you want us to do about it?” then asked if I wanted to pay for an “upgraded” room, telling me about all the costs it takes to run a large hotel. After offering me a “free drink” coupon that was already included in my package, he redirected me back to the line to wait for an agent to reassign my room. At this point, frustrated and less than 2 hours away from my birthday plans, I asked if I could leave my luggage there while I ran some last minute errands. He told me I could leave it at the BELL DESK (which I was told they didn’t have). I then requested my reservation be cancelled and left. I emailed the photo as instructed and never received the refund. I also had to cancel my birthday plans because of the inconvenience. I’ve had some bad hotel experiences, especially in vegas, but this was absolutely abhorrent. Between the horrible staff attitudes, expensive parking and disgusting neighborhood I’d would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
