The Strat had me checking online to save time and not have to wait in a long line to check-in. However, upon arrival, getting in the express line to just pick up my key there were only two people working. After helping others, both the people left the desk. We waited in that line another 15 minutes before I asked somebody why this line was supposed to be quicker. Then, a few minutes later, he helped me. They advertised newer rooms, although the room was clean and it looked like the linoleum floors were newly done, the headboard was worn and so was the carpet. The showerhead height is not adjustable so my husband who is 6’2”, had to bend under it to get clean. The room had a mini refrigerator with small freezer for keeping things cold. The air conditioner was cold when we called to get more clean towels, they were sent quickly. The Strat is on one end of the strip, so there’s a lot of walking involved to get to the main area of the strip.

I recently stayed at the The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower and unfortunately I was not impressed. The location is much farther from the main Strip attractions than expected, and the surrounding area felt uncomfortable and not very safe at night. That alone made the stay less enjoyable. The room itself was disappointing. The bed was extremely stiff and had a noticeable dent, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. The shower curtain was ripped and yellowed, which made the bathroom feel poorly maintained and dated. Using the resort credits was also more complicated than it should have been, and the restaurant food options were underwhelming, very basic and low quality for the price. Overall, this stay did not meet my expectations. I would likely choose a different hotel on my next trip to Las Vegas.

Only visited the Strat Tower. It's high!!! Our tickets were purchased through Expedia saved $10.00 each. Were only planning on a night visit, but thought daytime would have a better view of the foothills. We were right. The tickets cover visits all day, you can come back anytime you want, which was great. Staff very friendly, except one elevator operator. No lineups, quick ride to the top in enclosed elevator. NO Glass floors??? View from top in the daytime was great, very clean and well laid out . Interior has Floor to Ceiling windows are a bit scary, Outside is just up a staircase. Very good visit except the elevator operator who should be fired, management needs to sort this guy out. Night time visit was just as good, no view of foothills, just the city lights.

I’ve stayed at The STRAT over 5 times in the last 12 months, and I keep coming back for a reason. Although it’s one of the older hotels and located toward the end of the Strip, it’s been newly remodeled and continues to improve. Starting with the casino — there are plenty of machines and tables to keep you entertained. My only complaint is the smoke. The filtration could definitely be better, as the smoke smell can be pretty heavy, especially for non-smokers. I always remember to bring eye drops because of it. The variety of restaurants is perfect — from a casual sports grill to a nice steakhouse. I’ve eaten at all the main spots, and the food has been consistently great. I also appreciate that they cater to vegetarian options. There are two small markets in the main casino area, which are super convenient if you forgot toiletries or want to grab a souvenir. Check-in feels a bit old school. While you can do digital check-in, there’s no digital key, so you still have to stop by the front desk for your room keys. A fully digital option would definitely streamline the process. The comedy show is amazing — I’ve never been disappointed. There’s honestly so much to do. I still haven’t explored the second floor of the casino or experienced Atomic Golf yet, so I may need to write another review after my next trip. Every time we go back, we discover something new. Now let’s talk about the rooms. Some are nicer than others, but overall they’re comfortable. The beds and pillows are just right — not too firm, not too soft. There’s a coffee machine and mini fridge, which is great if you like bringing your own drinks and snacks. The lighting in the room is excellent, though I would suggest adding a magnified mirror. More outlets would also help — especially when ironing. I’ve found myself squeezing the ironing board into the bathroom doorway just to make it work. The AC worked fine, though it was a little tricky to get the temperature just right. The downstairs bar has amazing live entertainment, a good-sized dance floor, and bartenders who know how to make a great martini. Yes, the area right outside the casino can feel a little rough at times, and the crowd is definitely a mix of all types. But don’t let that affect your decision. I’ve gone for family weekend getaways and romantic trips with just my husband, and we’ve always had a great time. Overall, I truly enjoy my stays here and will continue to return. Things I would change: Better smoke filtration More drawers for organizing (working nightstand drawers would help) Add digital room keys Put a little more effort into seasonal decorations Additional outlets in the rooms Looking forward to my next stay!

I booked a stay at The STRAT Hotel because the rate I was quoted seemed like a great deal. When I asked about additional charges at the time of booking, I was told there were none. However, upon arrival, I was informed there would be a parking fee of $20 per day Monday–Thursday and $25 per day Friday–Sunday. Since we stayed for a full week, that added up quickly. When I tried to discuss this at check-in and explained that I had specifically asked about extra fees when booking, I was simply told, “Yeah, that’s the fee.” There was no effort to clarify or resolve the situation. Unfortunately, we had already paid and couldn’t get a refund, so we stayed. The room itself was disappointing. It did not appear to be cleaned thoroughly. The bathroom sink was clogged, the pillowcases had black smudges on them, and the phone was not even properly connected. I had to plug it in myself to get it working. On top of that, the walls were extremely thin. You could clearly hear everything happening in neighboring rooms and outside, which made it difficult to relax. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. It was our first stay at The STRAT, and it will be our last. I will say that the staff in the Cashiers area and the True Rewards area were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely brightened our day. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend staying at The STRAT Hotel and Casino.
