Everything about the Hampton was outstanding - service, room, shower, whirlpool, pool, breakfast food, and location. The only negative was a desk clerk who we talked to, twice, around 8:00 p.m. on different days (Nov 19 and Nov 13). She was very unhelpful and needs some customer service training. I should also have mentioned that on the same evening, November 19th, another front office desk clerk was extremely helpful in giving directions, including his willingness to walk out the front door and point specifically to the place we were going, thank you! He was great!

The good: Breakfast. Large variety and well stocked by a superbly dilligent young man. The bad: You pay for the breakfast with a $21 per day fee parking fee. Mind you, this older hotel is not that close to the Strip. Please also be aware that the fire pit does not start without assistance and they do not post this (has an inoperable pilot thermocouple). They do post that firepit use ends at 10 PM. In reality they shut it off at 9:50. In my case, I sat down at the fire pit at 9:05. Spent 10 minutes determining that it wouldn't start. Went inside and talked with the desk clerk. They told me that they needed to have their "Engineer" start it for me. 15 minutes later the maintenence person on call shows up. Takes him 5 minutes to get it going (he had difficulty getting the pilot to initially light and had to re-light it twice). So..since I didn't jump through these hoops the night before, I got 10 minutes of firepit time on my final night. When i went back in to express my frustration with the 9:50 shut down, the desk clerk was less than sympathetic. In fact he was downright sarcastic "I suppose you want me to have it turned back on for two minutes" was his reply. BTW, they desperately need to update the interior of their elevator. The black pipe-tape seal patches on the linoleum tile at the entrance of the interior floor is incredibly lame. That floor needs to be ripped out and replaced. Would I book this again? Not for what they charged.

Great room. Friendly enough staff, especially at the bar. Hard to get to due to road construction, which isn't their fault, but there was plenty of parking. As of last time I was there, you couldn't cross the east-west road, but had to go south to the next exit to cross east.

An agent booked this hotel for my family; it was the second leg of our trip. I'd read reviews en route and was a little disappointed. But when we arrived, we were greeted warmly, and the room was very clean. We got the days mixed up and arrived for breakfast at 9:28, thinking it was until 10:00. Even though it wasn't until 9:30 that day, we were treated to a delicious, varied breakfast. Everyone was so nice and welcoming! Thank you so much for our wonderful vacation❤️
