The breakfast at this hotel sets the standard. You get an omelet prepared the way you like it, right in front of you. I got cheese, jalapeños, and spinach in mine. If course they have lits of additionsl items, and they’re at the better end of the quality scale Lots of comfy space to eat in. They have a meeting room too, where I gave a talk last night to a local geologists’ association. Pretty good lasagne buffet for that, and only $35 per plate. That’s a great rate these days. I verified that they are actually walking distance from the LAS airport terminals. Give it an hour, at least.

Embassy Suites Las Vegas – A Mixed Experience I recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Las Vegas and had a generally pleasant stay, though a few disappointing details ultimately brought my overall rating down. The Positives: From the start, the service and check-in process were smooth and professional. The front desk staff were warm, efficient, and made me feel genuinely welcome after a long travel day. The cleanliness of both the room and common areas was also excellent—everything felt well-maintained and comfortable. Additionally, the hotel’s location was quite convenient, especially being just a short drive from Harry Reid International Airport (LAS). For anyone with an early flight or business in the area, this proximity is a definite plus. The Negatives: Unfortunately, there were two aspects of my stay that turned an otherwise solid experience into an average one. First, I was surprised by an unexpected $30/day parking charge upon arrival. This fee wasn’t clearly disclosed during booking, and considering the hotel’s large, mostly empty parking lot, it felt excessive—especially knowing the charge came through a third party. This single issue left a lasting negative impression and would make me hesitant to return. Second, while the complimentary breakfast had some highlights—such as the made-to-order omelet station—the experience lost credibility when I noticed that the “real eggs” displayed at the counter were swapped out mid-service for pre-mixed liquid eggs from a bag. I understand the need to manage costs, but this switch felt misleading and detracted from what could have been a standout breakfast. Final Thoughts: Embassy Suites Las Vegas has a lot going for it—great service, cleanliness, and a convenient location—but the unexpected parking fees and the less-than-authentic breakfast experience left me feeling disappointed. With a few changes, this could easily be an excellent hotel, but as it stands, I’d likely choose another property on my next trip to Las Vegas.
