Hilton Lake Las Vegas is a wonderful and very peaceful place. It was quiet—probably due to visiting in the winter after the holidays—but the atmosphere was great. The food was good, though some spots in the little village were closed, likely because of the low season. It’s about 40–50 minutes from the Strip, but overall, it’s a fantastic place to relax and unwind. I’d definitely recommend it.

We stayed at the Westin Lake Las Vegas a decade ago and had great experience so decided to check out this resort this time. The location is around 40 minutes from the Strip so unless you have a ride, it's hard to get around. It was quite vibrant when we visited the area the first time, perhaps because it was summertime, but it's quite dead this time. It's probably right after New Year's day and it's low season but there were only a handful of people at the resort. The shops and restaurants nearby are empty and deserted. The Medici restaurant in the 1st level looks depressing, we decided to grab a bite at the lounge area by the reception. When we checked in, the staff did not even talk much, it's like checking into a motel. The room is tired and needs refreshing, the mattress is hard and saggy. There's a nice view from the balcony but that's about it.

Went there for new years eve. The food and service at the downstairs restaurant was excellent. The food was very well presented and the selection and quality was very good. The service was excellent as the waiter was attentive and polite. Went upstairs to listen to music which missed it targeted audience by a mile. The DJ played his selection and would not take a request. As an older local the music was designed for a maimi nightclub for people in their 20's. Nevered played one tune to dance to. Most likely would not attend again.

I highly recommend that you don’t stay here. It’s a beautiful hotel and the staff is super kind and helpful but when you walk in you smell an unbearable sewage smell. I mentioned this to the front desk and they told me that it is a plumbing issue from the beginning of when the hotel was built. We were offered the option of canceling with no penalties and told we won’t be charged resort fee. I checked to see if there was anywhere else we could stay and I was not able to find something reasonably priced given the time of year. We will never stay here again and I am letting others know that this is truly a disgusting smell and you can still even smell it in the room and it makes you feel like vomiting. I don’t even know if it’s ok to be smelling this…. I was just looking at the other reviews and there are several similar reviews about this disgusting sewage smell and they date back 3 years and another 10 months ago.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hilton Lake Las Vegas. Was in town for my sons Lax tournament in Henderson. Hotel is about 40min from the strip so if thats not your focus this is a great option. We will be back in the summer to golf on the championship golf course and enjoy the lake activities and water slides at the hotel. We were here in December so slides were closed but pool was open. Its heated but a little to cold for me to get in. Didn't stop the kids. Its a very scenic backdrop and you can tell would be a lot of fun for the family in the summer. Really enjoyed relaxing with a cocktail overlooking the lake and golf course. The gym amenities were also excellent. Full racks, free weights, cardio equipment. Pretty much everything you need to get a good pump. The spa looked nice as well but didn't indulge.
