Exactly what we expected. Rather dated styled hotel but clean and convenient. Prices for all the hotels are high in Tucamcari so it is a relative value

Great stop. Town is very nice with tons of things to do. The dinosaur museum and route 66 stuff is great break from the road. Hotel is clean. Breakfast is hot and good. I like the single servings they have.

Nice bed, horrible TV system. Spent 45 minutes pushing buttons, just wanted to watch anything. Front desk staff even came to our 2nd floor room to help. She was sweet but unsuccessful. Will not stay here again. Sad because location good and shower pressure good and bed excellent.

My mother, my daughter, and I literally got trespassed because the woman from Alaska who was at the front desk didn't want to do her job. Let me explain. A timeline of events: -My 3 year old pees the bed overnight. Womp womp. -We have breakfast, put the little door hanger that says, "Please make up the room!" and leave to visit family. -We get back, find the door hanger gone, and the room in exactly the state it was in when we left, pee blankets in all -I call the front desk to let them know we needed new bedding. The older lady who checked me in (who was terse and impatient with the non-English speaking father whose son needed to translate for him) told me she'd let housekeeping know. -Some hours later, I go to the front desk to inquire about the bedding. I plan on just getting the stuff and doing it myself, clearly they're understaffed (GM - that's on you!). I wait in line, my daughter grabs a cookie. All is right with the world. -Upon telling Alaska the situation and that we'd been waiting hours for new bedding, which I was happy to put on myself, she told me well, it's already been done; she heard the Older Frustrated Woman talking with the head of housekeeping who said they had gone to ask the guest if they needed new sheets, and gave them some towels (maybe, but not to us!) I assured her, I had been in the room all afternoon. No housekeeping. -She then tells me to sit and wait (longer) while she helps the woman in line after me because (paraphrase), "If you don't, I won't remember LOL!" I ask if she can just write it down so I can go back to the room. She then huffs, tells me I'm just going to have to follow her while she gets me the sheets. -She storms off to get the bedding. I wait near my room. When she gets nearby, she hands me a garbage bag. Says I'm going to have to strip the bedding and put it in there and then she'll give me the new sheets - "It's policy!" GM, if that's your policy, it sucks. -I come back out and realize she didn't get me a mattress pad. Let me reiterate, my daughter peed in the bed. Need a new one of those. She lies, saying, "Oh, well... I wouldn't even begin to know where to get one..." I ask if she could call housekeeping. She pauses. "Ugh, Jesus Christ..." and storms off again. When she gets back to me, I tell her I'm sorry if she's having a bad day. -We realize she didn't give us blankets. My mother goes to ask for one. Alaska escalates almost immediately. A shouting match begins, and the lady calls the cops (who have NOTHING better to do) to come and trespass us. -We leave peacefully, apologizing to the cops for this woman wasting their time. Anyway. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. I've been to this hotel over a dozen times to visit family and for work. I hate giving it a one star; the facilities are always clean, the breakfast is always good (that chile sauce they have is GREAT), and until this visit the staff have always been extremely friendly and welcoming. Just don't ask for a blanket.

Best room for the money we've been too in years. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The outside grounds were well kept and clean. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The location is just off I-40 so easy off and back on and not near any neighborhood so not much local activity besides other travelers. The beds were comfortable and the room we stayed in had a door that opened to the outside but was quiet enough. The heat and air unit had the always on fan feature which we always use when traveling to mitigate noise. Breakfast had an above average variety and the staff there was helpful and busy replenishing food items as they were consumed. We were on vacation with our 22 year old daughter and 10 & 4 year old granddaughters. Most hotels almost double the price when you put in 5 occupants. We got a room with two queen beds and the price might have went up just a little, but not much. That's understandable when you have added mouths at breakfast but kids are eating a bowl of cereal and a waffle, not steak and cooked to order eggs. The 22 & 10 yr old took one bed and the 4 yr old slept with us. They smartly put us on the bottom floor which kept the active kids from tormenting the occupants below. This hotel is aged but had fresh paint and a clean interior and awesome staff. Several years ago we took a vacation and stayed in several BW's and felt pretty good about them so we got on their rewards program and started using them. That has been disappointing. We stayed in everything from really good to not really good. We have found other chain hotels that are more consistent in quality of rooms. We only chose this one from the reviews and price. This one should be the standard for BW! I can't speak for the condition of every room but our stay was excellent and I highly recommend this location. This was such a good experience that I hate to put anything negative in it but the Mexican restaurant about a half mile away, recommended to us, was over rated. La Cita or something like that. It's average at best so keep your expectations in check if you decide to go there.
