  My husband and I just stayed at Four Seasons Rancho Encantado for three nights, and everything about this property was exceptional. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly including the valet, concierge, adventure center, housekeeping, and restaurant staff. We also really appreciated that the hotel staff will drive you into Santa Fe at the top of every hour; that was incredibly convenient. The property itself is beautiful, and we really enjoyed the easy access to the well-maintained hiking trail right onsite. However, one of the things that stood out for us at this Four Seasons location was the food. Every single thing we tried from the menu was excellent. Not to mention, the menu has a lot of great options. My husband would not stop talking about the chicken enchiladas we had for lunch one day; they really made an impression on him. Needless to say, we enjoyed the consistently good food and service. We will definitely be back to this property. It’s a real treasure.

  I’m focusing this review on the bar. If there was an option of rating our meal a zero, I would. I rarely write reviews but just couldn’t let this one go. I don’t mind spending a lot of money on a nice meal but this was absolutely a “are you kidding me” moment. I ordered the beef brisket tacos and there was a few tiny cubes of meat under mounds of cole slaw. I showed the waiter and he agreed it was not good and I got a new plate. It was a little better but the meat was cubed so tiny and was tasteless. Still very little meat but it was something. I’m glad I wasn’t very hungry . It was a joke. Other person I was with ordered a hamburger. It was medium size and he said it was “okay” and that it was the most boring hamburger he has had in quite awhile. I expect better quality for a $120 meal at the Four Seasons. I don’t recommend wasting your money here. Go have dinner in Santa Fe.

  Huge shoutout to the staff here especially Sheldon who somehow was able to remember my name (even after I changed my haircut) and came up to me to say hi after more than a year of coming here. Loved talking to him ahah and his art. Also a shoutout to Holly who was both very personable and warm.

  We’ve gone a couple times for a long weekend stay, once in late April and most recently mid September and each time was great. Weather was lovely and the resort grounds are beautiful and quiet. Would definitely recommend for a romantic getaway or those looking for a peaceful retreat.
