Is currently under construction with limited amenities. It didn’t say this online or I would’ve drove to Trinidad, paid $40 less and enjoyed a hot breakfast.

FYI -PLEASE BE AWARE -THIS HOTEL LOCATION (RATON,NM) APPEARS CLOSED WITH THE LIGHTS OFF AND CHAINS ON THE LOBBY ENTRANCE DOOR. WE SAW ONE LONELY CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. It was a bit scary to come upon at 9pm. Of course, we discovered this after booking a night for a stopover on our road trip. What’s strange is, how the website/HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS & SUITES RATON hasn’t been updated to NOT accept reservations - it still says available at this location. I suggest not stopping in this town, it’s a scary place at night.

Hotel is being remodeled. Pool and hot tub closed. Breakfast was grab and go only. You have to enter into the back entrance. Check-in was slow as they were having technical difficulties with credit card equipment. Weren't given the wifi info but that was ok. The 9:25am knock on the door housekeeping wanting to start cleaning the room was unexpected. We were on the way out but if we wanted to sleep in closer to checkout time would've been annoying.

This hotel is great, was a little difficult to find in the dark, as you have to weave around a bit off the highway to actually enter the parking lot despite being able to see it from the exit. That being said, the pool was nice (although I wish it was a few degrees warmer). Pool and hot tub open from 6am-10pm. It is located inside off the reception/ checkin area so not next to any of the rooms so you don’t have to worry about noise from it. We haven’t slept yet so not sure about the beds or the breakfast in the morning but so far I’m impressed. There are lots of places to plug in all your devices. Just wish I had brought a nightlight as the blackout curtains do their jobs and the room is very dark.
Updated to add. I will note, the mattresses are pretty firm and I found them uncomfortable. I did switch beds in the night and one of the mattresses was definitely better than the other.
