- JHJ H1 day ago1.0My stay at this Holiday Inn Express & Suites was unacceptable. The room had multiple cleanliness and maintenance issues (black mold in bathroom, hair ledt in shower, broken product dispenser, stain on shower curtain), which I documented with photos at check-in (attached). Before arriving, I called the hotel while I was on the road to confirm availability. I was told they had 31 rooms available and saw a rate online that was about $60 lower than the rate listed at the front desk. When I asked whether I should book over the phone, I was told there was no need because they had plenty of rooms. But when I arrived, I was quoted nearly $200, and when I asked why the price was so much higher than the online rate, I was told it was “because of room availability.” When I mentioned that their own representative had just told me there were 31 rooms available, the desk agent simply shrugged. After discovering the room issues, I contacted IHG Guest Relations. I was told in writing that a case had been opened and that the hotel had been notified that I was requesting a refund. I relied on that information. However, when I contacted the hotel directly, they told me they had no knowledge of the case and that they do not process refunds at all. When I reported this back to Guest Relations, they then reversed their position and stated that IHG corporate also could not process refunds. I ended up being told by both sides that neither had the ability to resolve the issue, despite the documented condition of the room and the contradictory information I was given. Instead of addressing the situation, IHG only offered a small number of points. I’m posting this so other travelers can see the actual room conditions and be aware of the inconsistent and unhelpful handling I received. Photos attached.

Manager wouldn’t release camera footage to police. Make sure everything is locked up and chained down if you stay here

- GKGretchen KOct 12, 20255.0Overall a clean hotel. Check in was quick, she was very nice, gave us a list of places to have dinner. The room, bed and linens were all super! The only issue we had was the A/C. It was blowing cool air, but the room never really got cool. In their defense, we didn't call the front desk it was late and we tired. We didn't have breakfast, but it smelled wonderful! I would stay again!

Sadly I felt this one was missing the spark and oddly it was the most expensive one we have stayed in! The inside looked worn and a little dated. My kids slept on the sofa bed and there was pet hair all over it! My son is an asthmatic and doesn't need to be around pet air. Over all it was okay. But I can't stay we really enjoyed our stay.
