  Loved this adorable little hotel—we stopped in just to rest and ended up completely charmed. Frankie, the night clerk, was an absolute gem—felt like fate since our car is named Frankie too. The sassy Southwest decor had so much personality. Woke up to a homemade breakfast by two lovely ladies, with legit NM-style green chili that had just the right kick. Cozy, cute, and full of character—total win.

  We were generally pleased with the Best Western Kokopelli Lodge in Clayton, New Mexico. And surprised to find such nice lodgings in a small town in NE New Mexico. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the facilities well-kept. The bathroom had plenty of counter space. There was a fitness center but no pool. Breakfast was good with a quaintly decorated eating area and two hostesses hovering over the hot food making sure we were satisfied. They had fresh oranges!! We dinged the service 1 star because the wifi was very difficult to connect to. I admit to being confused about Best Western pricing. I paid the same amount to a Best Western in rural Kansas that had an indoor pool.

  I was passing through from Colorado to Texas, and I wasn't really prepared for the weather I encountered. I couldn't make it to Amarillo like I planned. My son found this hotel, and we stopped for the night. The property is dated, but it was fine for the night, and the staff was very friendly.

  While it is nothing fancy, it was just perfect for our nightly stop on our way to Winter Park, Co! Check in was smooth, with a nice clerk. The bathroom area of the room was updated. The beds weren’t as soft as I like, but they were good and we all slept well. They accepted our doodle with a pet fee of 20.00, can’t beat that! The grounds were clean and nice. We loved being able to park in front of our room. You also could not hear any outside traffic. The breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfast we have ever had and we have had a lot! My only suggestion would be to have a charging station, or two, to charge devices. We had to unplug things to charge phones, watches, iPads, headphones etc. Overall no complaints. Can’t believe we have never stopped here before!

  Got stranded when the road was closed and was lucky enough for this to be the first place I pulled into. Room was nice and clean and this is probably the best included free breakfast I've ever had, what breakfast foods are included you ask? Well pretty much all of them. Gentleman at front desk was very friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to spend the night here again.
