  Our stay was extremely disappointing. There was a bright lamp post directly outside our window, and because the room only had sheer curtains with no proper blackout curtains, the light shone into the room all night and made it very difficult to sleep. Cleanliness was also a major issue. There was hair on the bedsheets, making it appear the linens may not have been properly changed between guests, and there were multiple stains throughout the bathroom. Overall, the room did not meet basic cleanliness or comfort standards, and the condition of the accommodations significantly impacted our stay. We attempted to raise these concerns and seek a resolution, and Expedia also made multiple efforts to contact the property on our behalf. The hotel was extremely difficult to reach throughout the process and ultimately refused to provide any refund or meaningful resolution despite the documented issues.

  Very dated. Bedding was clean and fresh and the bed was very comfortable. Towels were fresh and well stocked for our 2 night stay. Staff was friendly and attentive. The location is great. I would stay here again.

  I booked a room in advance, but apparently that doesn’t mean you get the room! News to me!! I will never book with holiday inn again. Also the front desk associate, he was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I truly recommend anywhere but here 🤗 waste of time and patience. I came from out of state for an event 5 hrs away. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

  We checked into this hotel yesterday and checked out today — and I have to say, it was an absolute disgrace. Right from the start, we were greeted by a sign I could read, but why was it only in that language? I have no idea. Maybe it’s based on some bad past experience, but for a hotel of this supposed level, to post something like that at the entrance — that’s blatant, unapologetic racism. How dare the management think this is acceptable. It means “do not waste water in the trash”. The entire place was filthy and outdated. Everything felt neglected. So many facilities didn’t even work properly. When we entered our room, it was unbearably hot. I set the air conditioner to COOL at 60°F and left it running for hours — yet the room stayed just as hot. Eventually, I realized the AC was blowing out hot air instead of cold. When I called the front desk for help and calmly explained the issue, I was insulted. The staff had the nerve to tell me I didn’t know how to use the AC — absolutely humiliating. I asked them to send someone to fix it, and they said they would, “but not soon.” I later learned that meant no one was ever coming. To make matters worse, the hair dryer shorted out multiple lights and outlets, and the GFCI couldn’t even be reset. This was beyond unacceptable — it was a miserable experience from start to finish.

  Holiday Inn in South Plainfield NJ displayed disgusting behavior for refusing to refund a young active duty soldier for a room he booked and paid for. Being under 21 he was told he couldn't stay at the hotel (which is fine), but why no refund for the mistake? If he wasn't old enough to rent a room then why was he able to reserve and pay for it? These young soldiers get paid very little for the privilege of defending our country, and to not show some compassion and understanding is horrible. You should be ashamed.
