Wow, what a beauty of a hotel. Loved the theme and even the room keys look like a student id. Spent an evening there for a gala at another hotel. outstanding check in service! the young man was personable, very warm and even offered me hot tea with lemon when he noticed i kept clearing my throat. i wish i could remember his name! the room was also VERY dope, but very, very dark which made it hard to get dressed for my affair. Lord knows I had to throw caution to the wind when it came to my outfit, makeup and hair. lol! and while there is overhead lighting, the dark wallpaper still made it hard to see. my rate included breakfast which was pretty good!! but the service was sooooooooooooooo slow. I had to get up and go to the bar for a coke and water. not a big deal, but there is room for opportunity here. would definetly stay here again. i really enjoyed the theme of the hotel (NAILED IT), the lobby area looks like a library and appears to be a lively space for drinks during the evening. overall, nice job to this hotel! took a star off for the dark room and SLOW breakfast service. CLEARLY, this hotel understands that the front desk is our first impression, and they nailed it. the young man at the front desk when I checked out was also very sweet, and incredibly kind!!! thanks so much!

I recently completed my second stay at the Graduate Princeton, and once again, it was an exceptional experience. I spent two nights there and found everything to be great, reaffirming why I consistently recommend this hotel to both my international colleagues and personal friends.
What truly set this stay apart, however, was the remarkable service following a hectic morning of departure. In my rush, I accidentally left several items in the room safe—including an expensive wallet containing cash and credit cards. The staff’s honesty and integrity were beyond measure; every single item was recovered and returned to me.
It is rare to find such a dedicated and trustworthy team. I am incredibly grateful for their professionalism and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough for anyone visiting Princeton.
We made a last-minute reservation for my parents, and Mr. Shahid went above and beyond to accommodate them in a handicap-accessible room. He was incredibly professional, kind & genuinely helpful throughout the process, which made everything so much easier for us.
The hotel itself is amazing & beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and very welcoming. My parents especially appreciated the cleanliness and the warmth of the staff members. They truly enjoyed their stay.
Highly recommended for the excellent service and outstanding hospitality!

Stay was similar to other reviews - the lobby and general decor is stunning. The location can’t be beat in Princeton and service (especially valet and bartenders) are great. But the room experience is severely lacking. As others have said, the lighting is awful - the rooms are so dark and the lights they do have are ill placed (this is the biggest issue - couldn’t put any makeup on, or even have good visibility in the full length mirror in the main room). The closet with a curtain over it is unappealing. The walls and floors are thin, and the AC in my room wasn’t working. The bed was fine, but definitely not the most comfortable. My room didn’t have as severe cleanliness issues as others have reported, but the carpeted floors don’t give off confidence of cleanliness.
Overall I would definitely return to the hotel bar - the lobby is amazing. But the room experience makes it hard to want to return here, despite the great location.
Nestled amidst the scholarly whispers of Princeton’s venerable environs, where the ivy-clad spires of academia evoke an era of intellectual grandeur, this hotel emerges as a bastion of refined repose, its decor a harmonious ode to Ivy League elegance—dark wood paneling and leather-bound tomes conjuring the cozy sanctity of a professor’s study, enveloped in a soothing obscurity that cradles the weary traveler in profound, uninterrupted slumber, as if the very shadows conspire to banish the clamor of the day.
The culinary offerings at the downstairs restaurant proved a symphony of delights, each dish masterfully orchestrated with flavors that danced upon the palate, transforming a simple meal into an epicurean revelation worthy of the surrounding erudite ambiance. Complementing this, the valet service unfolded with seamless precision and courtesy, a testament to understated excellence that eased every arrival and departure like a well-turned page in a classic novel.
Positioned at the pulsating heart of it all, the hotel’s locale affords unparalleled centrality—mere steps from Princeton University’s hallowed halls, and encircled by a cornucopia of exquisite eateries and boutique emporiums, rendering exploration an effortless joy. In totality, our sojourn here transcended mere accommodation, blossoming into a resplendent experience that merits the highest laurels: a luminous five-star encomium for its scholarly charm and impeccable hospitality.
