I recently had an extremely traumatic and unacceptable experience at your Embassy suites by Hilton in Parsippany location. Upon arrival, Charmaine, the front desk associate, refused to check me in and initially declined to cancel my reservation. After I began recording the interaction and clearly restating the situation, she then acknowledged the cancellation, confirmed I would receive an email, and instructed me to leave.
In order to secure a room for my family, I had to make a new reservation under my husband’s name. During this second check-in, Charmaine refused to address me at all, despite the fact that I had all of the check-in information. She spoke only to my husband and made him repeat everything I said, which was unprofessional and inappropriate.
Once we were finally able to access our suite, we discovered inappropriate and unsanitary items—including condoms and dirty socks—in the room’s drawers. My child was the one who found these items when we were finally going to sleep, as we had spent the majority of our time in the living room area of the king suite. When I contacted Charmaine to report this, she dismissed my concerns and stated that I “should have inspected the room earlier,” despite the circumstances. When I requested the manager’s contact information, she refused to provide it and instead called 911, falsely reporting that there was an irate guest in my room. As a result, my child and I were escorted out of the hotel at 4:00 AM. The responding officer was very understanding and informed me that this was not the first time they had been called to remove guests under similar circumstances.
I spoke to the on-site manager, Aparna, the next morning, and she was sincerely apologetic and issued a refund. However, this situation extends far beyond financial compensation. I am requesting clarification on how Hilton plans to address the conduct of the staff involved and what steps will be taken to ensure that no other guest has an experience like this.

I stayed at this hotel for one night this past weekend. I love the fountain & palm trees as it gives this location in NJ a tropical feel. The fountain is a little loud at night so be prepared for that if you plan to stay here. The room was nice but could have used some upgrades. The rug & some of the furniture were worn. The tub looked dirty & the sheets did have some small stains on them. Also, there was an unpleasant odor that got worse in the room as our stay went on. I did see people with dogs so my guess is an animal probably had an accident on the carpet. We only stayed one night but had we been staying longer, I would have brought all of this to the front desk. The staff was very friendly & welcoming.

The worst hotel check-in in my life, the toilet was full of tissues and under the bed was full of garbage, the noise of the heater was too loud to sleep, and the most upsetting thing was that I asked for a change of room because the window was not closed and it was cold, but at first I said it was full, but when I checked the vacancy in the next room, I didn't change the room because the rate system was different. The reception of the front staff was loud and really unfriendly. Please don't go to this hotel

Parking is $15 for an outdoor parking lot. Before booking I read it was an offered amenity, this is not true.
The hotel was beautiful as long as you don't look closely at anything. The room was spacious and comfortable. Free breakfast and omelet station was delightful.
The housekeeping prob needs a little help, I imagine they might be understaffed like the rest of the service industry. I stepped on a child's barrette on the rug, there were fake eyelashes in the shower soap dish, moldy art in the bathroom, stained towels, etc. Nothing that's that big of a deal, but the room was too nice to have this many little things.
The hotel atrium was beautiful! I love all the trees, plants, and water features. The fountains could prob use a repaint due to the rust in the water, but it's still very nice.
I booked this room mostly for the access to the pool but they were "closed for a private event" and I believe that I read on the info sheet at check in that it's reservation only in the evenings? That's weird. I was unable to use the pool area before leaving the next day.
All in all, if I'm in the area, I'd prob stay here again if something nicer and cheaper isn't available.
