    I love this hotel. I come to Newark a few times a year for work and this is my first time here. 1. It’s very affordable. I usually stay at the Hampton but this will be my new spot! They have a nice bar, a conscience store area and great staff specifically Benjamin he’s very nice professional and knows how to get you smiling! Great staff, clean and social is rooms and a quiet environment. I have not one complaint! Thank you guys for the great experience I will definitely be back.

    Today I checked in. I had been up since 130 am to fly there. It was around 10 am. Check in was not until 4pm. Sarah was the amazing desk clerk who anticipated my needs before I really asked anything. She checked me in early as she had a room ready. I was and AM sooo grateful. She was kind, considerate, and very professional throughout my check in process that only took a few minutes. The room is VERY clean and the bed is VERY comfortable. I continue on my my vacation travel tomorrow overseas and this effortless experience has been much appreciated!

    I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at Holiday Inn Newark International Airport by IHG (160 Frontage Rd, Newark, NJ 07114) on April 9. My colleague and I checked in around 11:00 PM. When we went to the lobby looking for hot water to drink, we discovered that the hotel charges $2 just to get hot water. This felt unreasonable for a hotel that should provide basic amenities to guests. The problems continued in our room. When we tried to take a shower, the water was not hot at all—only lukewarm. After a long day of travel, not having proper hot water for a shower was extremely frustrating. The most alarming incident happened the next morning at 8:58 AM. A housekeeping staff member started knocking on our door. I repeatedly shouted “Hello! Someone is inside!”, but she still attempted to open the door and come in. Thankfully, we had the security latch engaged, otherwise she would have walked directly into our room while we were inside. This situation was very disturbing and made us feel unsafe. Housekeeping should never attempt to enter a room without confirmation, especially when guests are clearly responding from inside. Overall, this stay showed serious issues with basic hospitality standards, room maintenance, and guest privacy. I hope the hotel management will take this complaint seriously and address these issues immediately. I would also appreciate appropriate compensation for this unacceptable experience.

I made a reservation under the explicit condition that my security deposit would be refunded within two weeks. However, even after returning to Korea from my trip, the promised refund was never issued. When I called the hotel directly to inquire, they gave me the absurd response that they would not be returning the money. Thinking there might be a communication barrier, I asked a close acquaintance—who is fluent in English and works for a multinational corporation—to call and lodge a formal complaint on my behalf. Even then, the situation remained unchanged. My acquaintance concluded that the hotel clearly had no intention of returning the deposit from the very beginning and was being completely unreasonable. This place is essentially extorting money that rightfully belongs to the customer. I am sharing this so that no one else falls victim to these deceptive practices. Do not stay here. 【警告】予約金未返金の悪徳業者です。絶対に使用しないでください。 こちらの施設は、絶対に利用しないことを強くお勧めします。 当初、**「2週間以内に予約金を返金する」**という条件で予約金を入金し、予約を行いました。しかし、旅行を終え帰国した後も、約束された返金は一切ありませんでした。 ホテルに直接電話をして確認しましたが、ホテル側からは**「返金はしない」**という耳を疑うような回答が返って왔습니다。言葉の壁による誤解の可能性も考え、外資系企業に勤める英語が堪能な知人に頼み、改めて正式に抗議の電話をしてもらいました。 しかし、その知人ですら**「ホテル側には最初から返金する意思が全く感じられない」**と呆れるほど、話の通じない強硬な態度でした。 正当に返金されるべきお金を搾取する場所です。私のような被害者がこれ以上出ないことを切に願います。絶対に泊まらないでください。 【警告】拒不退还定金의 업체입니다. 绝对不要入住! 强烈建议大家千万不要选择这家酒店。 我当初是在酒店承诺**“2周内退还定金”**的条件下支付了定金并办理了预订。然而,旅行结束回到韩国后,那笔约定的退款至今仍未到账。 我亲自给酒店打电话确认,对方竟然给出了**“不予退还”**这种荒唐的答复。为了排除沟通障碍的可能,我特意拜托了一位在跨国公司任职、英语流利的朋友再次致电进行正式投诉。 但连我的朋友也表示:“感觉酒店从一开始就没有退款的意愿”,对方的态度极其蛮横,完全无法理喻。 这就是一家非法侵占客户应得款项的黑店。我发帖是希望不要再有其他人像我一样受骗。请大家千万、绝对不要去!
