  One of the most humiliating hotel experiences I have ever had. Upon arrival I was denied entry because of my service dog — not a pet, but a federally protected service animal under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Even after calmly explaining the law and showing the hotel’s own website stating service animals are allowed, staff repeatedly told me “we do not allow pets.” I was forced to justify my disability in front of my wife and other guests, which was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. After finally being allowed to stay, I ended up explaining the difference between service animals and emotional support animals to the employee checking me in. Ironically, I am a corporate ADA compliance trainer who teaches companies how to avoid exactly these situations. Not all wounds are visible to the eye. Some things we carry with us every day, and situations like this only add to that burden. To make matters worse, we were placed in a handicap-accessible room with a smaller bed than we reserved without being informed. This was a clear failure in ADA awareness and staff training. No guest with a service animal should ever be treated this way.

  The hotel was nice and clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast, and the staff was very friendly. There was a gentleman at the desk who checked us in who was great to talk to and gave great opinions on things to do around Philly. Would stay here again!

  No Hot water. Showed up for reservation and was told no hotwater, but I am welcome to stay or they can cancel with no penalty..had to scramble to book another hotel last minute.

  If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. I’ve stayed at this property for over 100 nights every year, and unfortunately, the decline since the hotel came under new management has been impossible to ignore. Two weeks after a major snowstorm, the parking lot and walkways still looked like an abandoned property poorly plowed, dangerously icy, and clearly not a priority. Guests were left to navigate unsafe conditions that should have been addressed days earlier. On top of that, the hotel had hot water issues two weeks in a row. There was no advance notice, no updates, and no communication about what was happening or when it would be fixed. The lack of transparency was unacceptable. To make matters worse, when I asked for contact information for the management company, the hotel refused to provide a phone number. That alone speaks volumes about the new management’s lack of accountability and unwillingness to hear from loyal guests. This place is the definition of mismanagement. Save yourself the frustration, stay literally anywhere else. Management, if you’re reading this: It’s time to step up. Fix your operational failures, communicate honestly with guests, maintain safe grounds, and provide accessible contact information. You’re losing loyal, long-term guests because of preventable, basic issues.
