  I was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer care at this hotel. I had a 2 night reservation while I was just one month postpartum. Two days before my stay, my husband came down with the flu and was extremely sick- leaving me unable to safely travel alone with a newborn. I reached out immediately to let the hotel know, and request a cancellation under these circumstances. Both the third-party booking site and IHG Hotels & Resorts were understanding—IHG even attempted to help, but ultimately explained that the hotel itself had full control over granting the exception. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to offer any flexibility whatsoever. I wasn’t even fully expecting a full refund, I would have been satisfied with a credit for a future stay, as I visit the area frequently. Instead, I was left out a couple hundred dollars for nothing. Situations like this are where customer service truly matters, and this experience showed a complete lack of empathy and consideration. Based on this, I would not choose to stay here in the future.

  I was visiting for a funeral and due to the storm, the hotel I had booked was completely unplowed, leaving me with nowhere to go. I looked up a similar style hotel and ended up here. Thankfully, their lot was much more manageable. Perfect? Absolutely not. But whose lot really was then? It was late and I was grateful. I walked in and was met by Parth, who is an absolute gem. He was so warm, welcoming and accommodating. I ended up next to a very loud guest. I gave it time, but I was absolutely exhausted and just wanted to relax. My wife went down to the desk and told the staff what was happening. The owner came up, personally and handled things. He is absolutely wonderful as well. Every staff member I came into contact with was warm, welcoming, and had a great attitude. Patrick was wonderful when I extended my stay, and when I checked out as well. I had a terrifying moment once I got back home. My wife's bag was unaccounted for. This bag contained her medications and a few valuable items. We called everywhere we went, then called candlewood and they had it, thankfully! We shipped them a box with a prepaid label and got the bag back with its entire contents. Not only is the staff amazing and have great attitudes, but they're honest. I know where I'm staying if I come back to jersey! Thank you all so much for a great stay. ❤️
