  We had a wonderful stay at the Canopy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, which really made the experience stand out. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. One of the best features is the location—just steps from the train station with an easy, convenient ride into NYC. Perfect for both business and leisure travel. Would definitely stay here again!

  Personally, one of the best hotels I've ever been in, it accomplished all my expectations. Comfortable and spacious rooms, delicious food, awesome warm and caring service from every single member of the staff, specially the registration member Mercedes for making it easier for Spanish speaking people like me to understand the hotel and don't get lost!! This hotel is peak!!

  There were Whole Foods Market near this hotel and the room was clean and surface was great. Breakfast was great and the server kind. Recommend you to come here if you are going to come to New Jersey in New York. You can see Manhattan and is so great view.

  I feel compelled to comment on the staffing situation at this hotel. We stayed during the last week of the year, which is clearly a peak period. Despite the large breakfast area and a high number of guests, there was only one chef, two servers, and one assistant working during breakfast service. Even the front desk was staffed by only one person. The employees were visibly overwhelmed, yet they remained professional and did their best to serve everyone. However, this level of staffing for such a busy period felt unreasonable and unsustainable. As a guest, the service experience was affected; as an observer, I was more concerned about whether the hotel management is putting excessive pressure on frontline staff. I truly hope management will reconsider their staffing decisions during high-occupancy periods, as this impacts not only service quality but also employee well-being.

  We stayed at the Canopy by Hilton Jersey city for four days before Christmas. Everything seemed promising the lobby was nice and the check in was easy. We got our room 20 minutes after we arrived which was nice. When we got to the room it was clean and spacious but the beds however were HORRIBLE!! They are so soft and sunken and not comfortable at all. My husband and I both had hip and back pain. I had asked to switch rooms but the front desk person said “they are known for their soft beds” he did offer me another room that i checked out before committing but the bed was the same so there was no point in moving. We had free breakfasts for the duration of our stay and the food was good but the service was extremely slow. I don’t blame the service staff but for a whole restaurant one server and one cook is not acceptable. They need to be more staffed. Our last day we wait an hour and 20 minutes with no food so we had to leave. No one wants to be wasting their time at breakfast when they are on vacation. You want to get out and see the sights. The location of this hotel is fine but staying in NYC is much more convenient if that is what you are going for. Overall, I was expecting more from the Canopy property especially since it is known to be a bit more upscale. I would not recommend this hotel.
