Absolutely terrible experience. There was no hot water in the shower the entire stay, and when I went to report it, the staff behind the front desk couldn’t have cared less. The man at the desk refused to even pause his phone—music blasting while I tried to explain the problem. The morning staff were just as rude, offering zero help or apology. This place clearly has no respect for its guests. I left frustrated, uncomfortable, and completely dissatisfied. 👎
Lamp in the room did not work. Snacks: Pretzels, soda and a half pint of milk cost me $36. 😳
Do not use this place especially in winter if you want to warm up with a hot shower!! Freezing 🥶
The hotel was generally old and worn down, and the overall atmosphere felt quite gloomy. The bedding was cozy, but the water pressure was terrible, and the sink wouldn’t drain, which made it feel dirty. I can’t believe this hotel costs $170 plus tax. I don’t think there will be any returning guests.
Spent my time here during this weekend storm to be closer to work and it was a great choice. Although during to the storm, kitchen food was limited, the service was fast and Lissette the manager was great! Rooms were cleaned. and personnel was making sure snow paths were cleaned and lobby was maintained .

Nestled in Englewood, New Jersey, the Crowne Plaza is a true hidden gem! Perfectly positioned just minutes from New York City, major New Jersey destinations, shopping, dining, and cultural hotspots. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, the location alone makes it an unbeatable choice.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the heart behind it. The care and dedication from ownership is felt the moment you walk in, and the hospitality is nothing short of exceptional. Mike was an outstanding host, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. He went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable.
And the food? Absolutely out of this world. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared, comforting, and indulgent. Mike is truly a saint! Someone who turns a stay into a memory and a hotel into a place you want to return to again and again.
This is more than a stay! It’s an experience worth discovering

We use this hotel routinely for business travel when our West Coast team is in town. I booked four rooms for December 8–11, and during that stay one of our guests was bitten by bed bugs in room 716.
What followed was not only unacceptable, but deeply concerning. After reporting the incident to both the Crowne Plaza Englewood and IHG, I was effectively ignored. The only responses I received were clearly automated, generic emails, and to date the hotel has still never returned a single phone call. This level of disregard for a serious health and safety issue is inexcusable.
I was forced to file a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs and dispute the charge on my AMEX before the hotel finally issued a refund. The fact that escalation to this level was required to receive even the most basic resolution speaks volumes.
To be absolutely clear, this matter goes far beyond a refund. Our guest continues to suffer the physical consequences of this incident. She remains itchy, has permanent scarring, and is still under medical care as a direct result of her stay at your property. This exposure has caused ongoing physical distress and potential long-term impact, for which your organization has shown zero accountability.
This situation was profoundly embarrassing for our company and has irreparably damaged our trust in this property and in IHG’s handling of serious guest safety incidents. As frequent travelers to this location and Platinum Elite IHG members, we expected immediate action, transparency, and accountability — none of which occurred.
The lack of response, failure to take ownership, and dismissive handling of a confirmed bed bug incident represents a serious breakdown in guest safety protocols and customer care. This matter warrants immediate executive-level review and corrective action. Absent that, we will continue to pursue all available avenues to ensure this issue is addressed appropriately. Photos are attached as well for visibility in how bad this was!
** UPDATED 1/26/26** - it has not been 2 weeks since I left this review and still NO CONTACT FROM THE HOTEL! Absolutely absurd. A phone call to the Englewood Department of Health will be made now.
