I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing.
This hotel is quite expensive, and when I booked the room I specifically paid extra for “breakfast included.” However, when we went down to eat, the staff told us that breakfast was only for two people and that our kids had to pay extra. I travel often and stay in many hotels, and I have honestly never experienced anything like this before.
The breakfast itself was very poor. The food quality was bad, there were no bananas, only some old-looking oranges, the eggs were terrible, and there wasn’t even a proper coffee machine. For a hotel charging these prices, the breakfast felt extremely cheap and disappointing.
Another major issue was the pool. When we booked, there was no mention that it was closed. My kids were very excited to swim, but when we arrived we were told the pool has been under maintenance for months. This is something that should absolutely be disclosed before booking.
Our room cleanliness was not great, and the key card barely worked. Every time we tried to enter the room we had to attempt it 20+ times before the door would unlock. The coffee machine in the room didn’t work, and the AC was very loud, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
The gym situation was also strange. Instead of being inside the hotel, you actually have to walk outside for about three minutes near the freeway to reach it.
On top of everything, the staff were not welcoming at all. No smiles, no friendliness, and the overall feeling during breakfast was uncomfortable — almost like they were watching guests to make sure they didn’t take too much food.
Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had. I’ve stayed in many hotels and even motels that offered better service and better food at much lower prices.
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel, and I definitely will not be returning.
