  Perfect Getting Ready Location for Wedding Photography. As a wedding photographer, I recently captured the bridal getting ready preparations at the Homewood Suites by Hilton East Rutherford - Meadowlands, and I was thoroughly impressed with this location. The suites provided an ideal setting for those important pre-ceremony moments. The rooms are spacious and well-lit, with large windows that offer beautiful natural light - essential for capturing those candid, emotional getting ready shots. The clean, modern décor creates a neutral backdrop that keeps the focus on the bride and her bridesmaids without distracting elements. The layout of the suites gave us plenty of room to work comfortably without feeling cramped, even with the bridal party, family members, hair and makeup artists, and photography equipment all in one space. The separate living areas were perfect for detail shots of the dress, shoes, jewelry, and other wedding accessories. The staff at this Homewood Suites was accommodating and understanding of our needs as vendors, making the morning run smoothly. The hotel's convenient location near the Meadowlands also made it easy for everyone to travel to the venue afterward. I would absolutely recommend this Homewood Suites to brides looking for a comfortable, photography-friendly space for getting ready, and to fellow photographers seeking a reliable location that delivers beautiful images.

  Comfortable, did not receive room cleaning service for 3 days out of 4. Very good breakfast and conceirge services. The location is almost perfect to access North Jersey and NYC plenty of great food and shops locally literally within a 10 min drive almost anything you want.

  During my recent road trip to the northeast (as part of my quest to visit all 50 states!) my spouse and I stayed at three different Homewood Suites locations, and this location was definitely the best, which was great since we were staying two nights. The hotel is in a pretty good location with free fenced in parking. There is a nearby shopping center as well as a small downtown with a few more restaurants about half a mile away (small incline there but downhill on the way back of course)! You are also a short drive from the American Dream Mall, stadiums etc. The room was in good condition, including lightly scented laundry bags which was a real plus when needing to separate your clean clothes from those needing laundry. Staff was friendly and the Suite Shop was well stocked. This location also had the best breakfast in a really nice seating area with a variety of seating as well as areas to work if needed. Check-in time is 4 and there is a school nearby so plan your arrival accordingly! Would definitely stay again

  Wonderful stay! Huge rooms with comfy beds and extra blankets. It was nice having the bedroom separate from the rest of the unit. And I love the shower/tub/toilet separate from the sink/vanity area. While my kiddo showered I could still get ready without having to worry about sweating like crazy from the shower steam lol.. Plenty of bathroom necessities provided (shampoo, conditioner, body gel/soap, lotion, towels, hair dryer and waste baskets). Hot water came quickly and never ran out. The kitchen had all the basic cookware/dinnerware. Full size fridge, flat top stove and microwave furnished. The only thing missing, that would have been nice, was liquid dish soap. Instead, I cut open the dishwasher packet to wash the few dishes we did use. Which actually worked out better than expected. Great distant view of NYC from our room. As for the rest of the hotel.. The staff was friendly. Check-in / Check-out were quick and easy. The weight room and sauna were really nice. The indoor pool area is okay. Strong chlorine/bromine smell in the air (common for indoor water pools/parks). The bathroom by the pool needed some attention. There is a shower in the main pool area, with warm water, to rinse off (extra towels are provided for these areas). The included breakfast was just okay (I was surprised to see they only had waffles for 1 of the 2 days we were there. I always thought waffles were like a hotel breakfast staple). The muffins/bagels were a decent alternate. Plenty of places to sit. Overall the hotel was perfect for us. Nearby: A shopping center with a couple restaurants, a burger joint, a grocery, a dollar store and a liquor store (couple others as well). Also close to the bus stop (162/163) that takes you directly to the Port Authority terminal in Manhattan. The hotel will provide free shuttle service to the bus stop if you don't want to walk. No late night shuttle so we (2 women in our 20's/40's) walked from where the bus dropped us off. It was a short peaceful, quiet walk (maybe 5-7minutes). I definitely recommend staying here.
