I traveled with my boyfriend to visit the American Dream Mall, and this hotel was a good price with great proximity; only about a five-minute drive away. The room itself was standard: a bed, a small kitchen, and a bathroom. Everything was clean and fairly average. We were placed in a first-floor room right next to the small indoor pool, which I do not recommend. The pool is supposed to be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., but both mornings it was open around 8 a.m., an hour earlier than posted. The noise from the pool (splashing and screaming) echoed directly into our room. I don’t mind noise too much, but it’s definitely something to be aware of. If you’re looking for a quiet stay, avoid rooms near the pool. The breakfast was mid at best. Very typical hotel food: sausage, eggs, bagels, pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, and coffee. Most of it tasted fine, but I really did not like the sausage—it made my stomach turn after just one bite the first morning. I was also disappointed that there was no real orange juice. Instead, they had a Minute Maid-style orange/mango drink, which was not actual orange juice. I would have preferred to go out for breakfast, but since it was free, I just avoided what I didn’t like. As for service, we left the room from 11 a.m. to about 6:30 p.m., and housekeeping did come in. The bed was made, but I noticed that my personal towel was taken. It was an off-white/tan extra-large towel, clearly different from the hotel’s bright white towels. I noticed immediately because my boyfriend and I planned to go to the pool. I was dissatisfied with this and went to the front to ask if they could get my towel back. Luckily they took it and threw it into the laundry. I was able to get it back cleaned and folded nicely which I appreciate. Overall, this hotel gets the job done for a short stay, especially if your main goal is visiting the American Dream Mall. The price and location are its strongest points, but the experience itself is nothing memorable. Between the noise from the pool, the average breakfast, and minor service issues, it lacks the extra comfort and quality that would make it stand out. It’s fine for convenience, but I’d likely keep looking for a better option in the same price range next time.

We stayed 3 days. The AC was making noise and it disturbed entire night. Have called front desk and complaint about it but no action taken. TV wasn’t working. No action taken. I have a IHG club member more than 5 years and booked through the site, but not happy with my stay there. Even asked to change the room but they said all rooms are booked. Even while checkout informed front desk about that and they told someone will call and discuss. Still no one called from the hotel. IHG has to check this.

Checked in and once we got into the room on 3rd floor the room bathroom had hair all over the place and the beds had stains on sheets. Requested a room change then the new from in 3rd floor did not have hot water. The maintenance person who spoke Spanish came to the room and was using his phone the whole time and just running the water for over 15 min. This is ridiculous. Poor room maintenance and horrible maintenance service.

Overall, it’s a budget-friendly hotel. To get to New York City, you need to buy a ticket for the 163 bus, which takes about 30 minutes. A round-trip ticket costs around $10 per adult. During peak hours, buses run every 6 minutes, and every 12 minutes during off-peak hours. The front desk staff were very friendly, which I really appreciated.

I had a fantastic check-in experience thanks to Ismail. Not only was the process seamless, but they also went out of their way to provide local restaurant recommendations and ensured our room was ready early. Their professionalism and warm personality set the tone for a wonderful stay. Exceptional service!
