    Room was filthy!! Hair and soap scum in the jet tub.. that didn’t work. More hair in the towels as well. Wind howled around the sliding glass doors all night. Lamps literally falling apart. The front desk person was so rude and unfriendly we didn’t want to ask for a different room. NEVER STAY HERE

    For the purpose of that business trip it was ok. In regards of premises, I received a first floor room, it was some sort of time miche that return me to 1982 carpet , furniture very antique water made their job on the walls very disgusting experience. room 120

    After a long drive from New Jersey, the last thing I wanted to deal with was a disappointing hotel stay. Unfortunately, the Best Western in Portsmouth needs serious attention. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor the moment I walked in, and there was clearly no proper ventilation. Everything felt old and worn — small outdated TV, thin rough towels, a cheap iron that barely gets warm, and wallpaper trying to hide uneven walls. Even the bathroom looked like it had been painted over to cover flaws instead of being properly fixed. The entire place feels neglected and long overdue for a full renovation. I didn’t even bother asking for another room after such a long trip — I just wanted to rest and get out early to start my day, on a good note, the young lady at the front desk was very pleasant when we checked in.
