  My husband and I just stayed here for the days leading up to our wedding. We stayed in a suite so we would have plenty of room for getting ready and could have separate rooms for getting ready when needed. The suite was so spacious for us and just what we needed for our special day. We had a lovely time using the outdoor hot tub while it was snowing! We also enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool and being competitive in the game room. The prize vending machine is such a great touch! Most of all, what truly made our visit feel welcoming, was Ed. He was so friendly, caring, and kind throughout our whole stay. We were excited anytime we saw it was him at the desk. He inquired about our wedding and asked to see a photo once it happened. He was always very helpful during our stay. It is clear why he received the Lodging Employee of the Year award. It is well deserved! Overall, our stay was wonderful. The only notes we have are to move the safe that is in the second drawer to the bottom drawer, as it made the dresser “top heavy” when that drawer was opened. It did fall onto me leaving a minor mark, but more devastatingly, broke some sentimental glass and a few other trinkets of ours from our wedding. On the other note, some of the other employees there were not as welcoming and friendly as Ed. Some were very wrapped up in their phones, sitting on the comfy seating/lounging and giving the impression they were bothered by the interruption of their relaxation time. One of the nights we went to use the game room (advertised open until 12 AM), it was 9:30 PM and the room was completely dark. When we inquired about it, the lady sitting on the couch using her phone seemed annoyed by the interruption and claimed she turned it off because no one had been in there in hours. She then reluctantly offered to turn it back on and we hesitantly took her up on that offer. We are SO glad we did because we had a blast! We did experience an issue with one of the games eating our money and not working properly, but didn’t feel like we could inquire for her help after the previous interaction. Overall, we are very glad we chose the Mountain Club on Loon for our wedding week! Great views, great time, closeby gems, and Ed - who really left an impact. Unfortunately, we checked out after our wedding with the intention of staying at North Conway Grand Hotel for our honeymoon portion of the trip - bad idea. We should have stayed at Mountain Club on Loon for the entire duration of our time away.

  I've been staying at this location for 30+ years now. We took family trips there in both the Summer & Winter when I was a kid. Now, I'm bringing my Family. It was great then & it is great now. Super accomodating staff, clean facilities, and an awesome mountain experience keeps me coming back. Park your car. Take your watch off. Hit the slopes without dealing with all the headaches! Thanks to the awesome housekeeping staff for sending my forgotten ski-gear! Thank you Mountain Club!

  We travel almost every weekend to ski at mountains across New England with our 6-year-old daughter. During our stay at Loon, she suddenly became very sick with a high fever after a full day of skiing. I went to the front desk simply to borrow a thermometer so we could check her temperature and contact a doctor for a virtual visit. The staff refused and told me to bring my sick child downstairs instead. She was extremely weak and unable to walk that far, and I could not leave her alone in the room to go buy one. For a family-oriented resort, the complete lack of basic compassion and flexibility in a medical situation involving a sick child was very disappointing.
