Avoid this hotel! Our family’s stay at the Best Western Inn in Franconia, NH. Was an outright nightmare of a stay and the worst hotel experience my family has ever endured. Within hours of arrival, we were forced out of one filthy, unsafe room into another that was even worse. We encountered mold, broken fixtures, hotel doors with no lock, and blood-stained bedding on both the linen of all beds (what was stated to be possibly from drug users that frequent the location). Staff admitted the rooms were unfit yet failed to provide clean linens, stating cleaning service was unavailable and my wife and I would have to strip and remake blood-contaminated beds ourselves while our children slept in personal blankets in chairs due to the time of night. The situation escalated into harassment, dishonesty, and ultimately a police visit based on false claims made by staff (Kevin Jam). Management (Bija Patel/Vin Patel) upon discovering Jams harassment, mishandling, and misrepresentation of facts to Law Enforcement (which he was warned of) misrepresented their role, stating there was nothing they could do other than a 10% discount on our stay due to my family “being publicly humiliated in the hallway late at night”. Upon departing, we contacted Best Western Corporate, they informed us although they utilize the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation. This property demonstrated severe health code violations, reckless staff conduct, and a complete disregard for guest safety and basic human decency. Avoid this hotel at all costs. When attempting a refund through Best Western they stated although the property utilizes the Best Western name they do not recognize their affiliation.

I've now visited this place on two occasions as part of a family tradition (story land, cutting down a christmas tree etc). Unfortunately this last visit confirms we will never stay here again and recommend no one else does as well. Between the red stained towels (unbeknownst to my daughter she rubed her face on one), above us sounded like someone was running a crossfit gym well into midnight, we were disappointed. We kept all of that to ourselves, didnt complain just chalked it up to be a bad stay and left the next morning.
After arriving home a few days noticed the bill didnt look correct (appeared as though we were double charged for having pets) figured it would be a minor mistake to have corrected (even though i shouldnt have to). Was informed by front staff that i was charged 50 extra dollars for "taking one of there pillows". So ontop of a terrible stay i get falsely accused of theft, very convenient to be able to just claim something was stolen without proof and just blindly charge someones card. Not to pat myself on the back but I've lived this life with morals and to be falsely accused of theft really sent me over the edge.
Anyways, with business practices such as these, I highly recommend everyone avoid this establishment.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Clean. Average breakfast. The yogurt machine was a nice surprise. No hand towels or washcloths in the room but a trip to the front desk fixed that. Clean and quiet. Mountain view room. Quite a ways to nearest restaurant.
