I don't know if there is a reno going on but things are showing wear and tear. Some door handles don't work well, the HVAC units don't work, doors that are scuffed up and don't close, hallways are cold, etc. The staff was great, beds were comfortable (but the pillows are pretty worn). I like the location but access is becoming difficult. The driveway is terrible. Breakfast was good.

Talked to 5 different people with the same story. Each one of them kept me on hold fir several minutes then hung up. Last one finally came back and sent a message to front desk to call me on my cell. None of the people answering the phone are at the hotel even though the number is local and only phone number on the website. It seems like it's impossible to reach the front desk! Extremely frustrating. Update: I waited for a phone call that didn't happen. I ended up driving back to hotel to retrieve the document I left at the lobby. Front desk personnel was pleasant . They never received the call or the message. They even tried to call their own number with the same result. Seems like Holiday Inn Express needs some work to do. This is one very frustrated customer who had to drive back to hotel leaving his business just because he had no way of reaching the front desk. Only option answering operator had was to sell me more reservation, which I didn't need because I am already staying in their hotel so I was no use to them. That's why my calls were put on hold and hung up after several minutes.
