My sister and I (are from the Southeast) were caught in the Winter Storm of 2025 and chose not to risk driving in dangerous icy/snowy conditions to reach Omaha. We asked the hotel to make an exception to their cancellation policy due to the extreme weather, but they refused, stating they were “holding to the original cancellation policy” and declined our refund request. It’s unfortunate that profit was prioritized over basic safety and compassion.
