I recently stayed at a Best Western and left behind a small battery pack. I was directed to ILeftMyStuff.com, where the cheapest shipping option was $39—for an item worth barely more than that. The most expensive? Over $100. No signature, no special handling. Just a padded envelope and a padded profit margin.
I’m a General Manager at a hotel. We return lost items at actual shipping cost. That’s what hospitality looks like. This app is not a service—it’s a scam. It makes it pointless for guests to retrieve their belongings. Now that I’ve seen the price, I’m not paying it. So congratulations—you get to keep my property. That’s the real business model, isn’t it?
And I’m not the only one. A friend of mine left her laptop behind at a hotel and was charged $200 to get it back. That’s not guest service—that’s extortion.
Let’s talk about the people this really hurts:
• An elderly couple forgets their prescription medication. They’re on a fixed income. Now they have to choose between paying $40+ to get it back or going without.
• A little girl leaves behind her teddy bear—the one she’s had since birth. Her parents can’t afford to replace it, and now they’re stuck watching her cry because of a shipping fee that’s higher than the toy itself.
• A single mom forgets her child’s school tablet. She’s already stretched thin. Now she’s being told it’ll cost $60 to get it back—or she can just let the hotel keep it.
• A traveler leaves behind a CPAP machine part or a hearing aid charger—something critical to their health. And instead of helping, the system exploits them.
This is rotten. It’s the opposite of guest care. It’s a slap in the face to anyone who’s ever trusted a hotel to do the right thing.
I’ll be asking every hotel I book with whether they use this service. If they do, I’ll go elsewhere. And I’ll be sharing this experience publicly so others know what to expect.

A very nice room. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast Saturday morning was excellent! Nice and hot. Sunday morning not so much. But all in all I enjoyed my stay.

Booked this hotel for a couple of nights. The area was a little sketchy, but I was OK with that. The place did smell like weed in the elevator and hallways. When you add that to the musky, damp smell, well, you get a whole different experience. The bed were either of the extra soft variety, or haven't been changed in a while. I didn't need any services but it was standard from what I could tell. Not sure if I will be back to Omaha any time soon, but if I do, I will look at other options

Alot of reviews here say they have comfortable nedd and ehat nit good service but for me the second we arrived it seemed off we usually stay at best Western inns we stayed at one in Lincoln and it was amazing but here we came in to check in around 4pm and we booked our room online for around $150 and they said we had to have a deposit of $150 taken off the original card that after check out would be given back we didn't know anything about a deposit fee then we saw the Elevator very old very run down one of the ceiling panels had fallen down onto the floor of the elevator then we came to the pool area the hot tub was nice and the temp of the pool was great but the second you walk into the hotel your met with this very potent chlorine smell when the pool is way down the hall past the elevator The stairs to the kids yellow slide was really moldy and the mushroom in the pool area you were able to Wobble it wasn't really secured then we took a shower in our room and when we got out there was a whole puddle of water outside the tub and into the other room where our sink was the pool room almost always had no towels for anyone and there was no way to ask for any there was dirty towels all over the pool area the door in the family room In the pool area the door in there was all broken and moldy the beds were very comfy tho had a great view from the 7th floor haven't experienced breakfast yet but let's just say we will nit be staying here again

The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I think I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. I think I got 6 hours of sleep total in 2 nights because my back hurt so bad from it. Then as my husband was getting out of the shower, the vent fell out of the wall and hit him right on the head. Luckily it only left a small cut. We told the front desk and they didn’t seem to care or really listen.
