  If you’re young and able this is a 4/5 motel. If you’re elderly and or handicap it’s a 1/5 motel. Room 216 is a handicap room. It has a great layout with a separate bedroom that has its own TV. The room has a hideabed couch and a recliner chair. But the bathroom did not have an ADA toilet. The shower floor is higher than the bathroom floor and leaked all over the floor. It requires laying down two bath towels as you shower then another bath towel to dry the floor. The floor tile was polished making the floor verry slippery. This handicap bathroom is unsafe. (I think all bathrooms have this same unsafe polished floor). The recliner requires the strength of a very strong person to operate. No response from Nightcapmanagement.

  Soap scum shower floor. Hair, dust, crumbs covering room floors. No TP, no tissues, empty bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. No shower pressure. Very loud AC unit. Had to switch rooms and it didn’t make a difference with the lack of cleanliness. Kudos to Bryce for running the front desk and handling a large volume of people and hotel issues. 1 star for location, Starbucks & a few restaurants down the road.

  Very clean rooms and outstanding service from the staff. Also, the free self service laundry is a really nice perk!

  As a "road warrior" for 20+ years, this property has been so refreshing. I appreciate how this is a very newly-built hotel property with a "blended brand" concept, housing both IHG's Avid brand as well as IHG's extended-stay Candlewood Suites brand. It is one of the only Candlewood Suites properties in the nation at this time which provides breakfast, because of its shared footprint, and it is quite a good breakfast. The morning attendants are constantly on the move, cleaning tables after folks depart, replenishing the food items, and tending to requests as best they can, cheerfully and efficiently. The desk clerks have been great with informed local suggestions and sincere chats, and they are also on top of other tasks too such as cleaning the lobby and restocking items. I think this is a pretty tightly-run ship. I've read other reviews concerning room cleanliness here and I must say that has not been my experience at all. With the Candlewood side having kitchenettes, my dishes were spotless upon arrival, and the refrigerator and dishwasher were also spotless. I've had the Lead Housekeeper stop me in the hall more than once to ask how my room has been serviced that day - they are obviously taking these prior concerns as seriously as they can with the nationwide hospitality industry's labor shortages. One housekeeping staffer in particular, I believe named Naeli, has consistently shown hustle and attention to detail, and takes pride in doing her job well. One last item of note: the lobby televisions are quiet (thank goodness!) and are set to benign channels such as Weather Channel, financial news, ESPN, and/or Food Network. I am so thankful that a hospitality business recognizes that so few of us wish to be blasted with loud talking heads arguing about politics. I hope more and more properties and brands continue to recognize what a poor business decision it is to instantly alienate roughly 50% of their customers when they walk in to hear bloviating from one side or another per the choice of cable news network. We all have televisions in our rooms and little televisions in our pockets these days, if we want to be soothed by an echo chamber we can pull it up with a few taps. It is a peaceful arrival and breakfast experience which doesn't blast smirking social commentary 24/7. I look forward to returning to this Candlewood Suites when my business project assignment brings me back through North Platte.
