- TSTaylor SmarstyOct 19, 20255.0We had a terrible experience at the comfort Inn in omaha, (cockroaches) and we decided to drive to lincoln and shoot for a better hotel closer to the highway. This hotel was a life saver at 11pm scrambling for a room with 2 kids and a dog. Keisha at the front desk was so kind and welcoming and the friendly face we needed after a stressful day. The hotel is clean, great rooms, updated, super close to i80, good bfast options, and quiet! Lesson learned not to try and save money in a pinch and just bite the bullet for a good night's sleep.

Starting in 2020 we have stayed exclusively in Hampton Inns primarily because they are pet friendly and we travel with our service dog, Greta. We have found that most Hampton Inns are in good shape and usually the rooms are nice. On our last cross country trek, we stayed at 13 Hampton Inns. The amenities are very similar from hotel to hotel but the differences are the services and staff. A few years ago, Hampton Inns started to use bottles of soap and shampoo in the bathrooms; they also stopped providing a bar of soap. I made a note of mentioning this in my previous reviews. In the last two years, I find that most have provided a bar of soap. The other main amenity is the free breakfast in the morning. This is very inconsistent from place to place. It would be great if they all offered fresh fruit and a non-meat omelet; unfortunately most do not. I will note that the coffee served has improved quite a bit, in the past it had been bitter but this year the coffee seemed better at all of our stops. Not sure why but thank you for that. Fourth stop going from west to east: Wednesday, September 24, 2025- Lincoln NE Nice room. Breakfast was the best we had so far on this trip.

Breakfast was lesser quality than what I've seen at other Hampton Inn's which was disappointing. Overall I had a restful stay and will book again when I'm in the area.
