We are stranded travelers and he refused to except payment because he isnt supposed to manually enter credit cards that arent present.We lost our credit cards but had a family member live on video chat with id and her credit card to help in the emergency situation. Jason claimed no hotel would allow this and sent us into the cold. The hotel that is waaaay nicer ,next door immediately booked the room no questions asked. Jason is in the wrong business. It would be easy for Candlewood to replace him and avoid these moments.

I booked this place for one night (keep in mind it's right off I-80) non-refundable on the IHG app. It mentioned there would be a pet fee, which I understand, but the general fee for most hotels is $25. I was surprised when we showed up and it was $75!!! For 1 night!!! It truly felt like a bait and switch. Yes, I understand it's about cleanliness of the rooms and allergies. Yes, I understand that you can stay for up to 6 nights with your dog for that same fee. Yes, I got an email about the cost but was still locked in to the stay. The fact of the matter is that this basically doubled the cost of our stay without our consent. Luckily I can afford it but worry about someone who would need the extra $50 for a tank of gas or breakfast for their children. If you have allergies to animals this is probably a great place to stay. And the staff was nothing but kind and the room was very nice and clean - we enjoyed having a kitchen in the room. Also there's no breakfast.
