But what really inspired me to write the review was an employee named Kayla. I had a headache from travel and was sitting in the lobby drinking coffee so I wouldn’t wake my wife. I overheard Kayla welcoming a steady stream of guests at midnight. Having been in my own business I learned how to retain customers and taught it to employees. Make them feel happy to be here is the start to a long term relationship. Each customer Kayla did that with a smile that was genuine. It all starts at that front desk. Way to go Kayla and Candlewood Suites!

- JFJohn FlynnAug 7, 20251.0If you stay here you’re taking the chance of them changing your reservation from one rate to a “regular” rate that is significantly higher. The front desk clerk at check in said nothing to me about the change. I spoke to the manager and assistant manager once the charges posted to come to a resolution for the theft and nothing got resolved except me never staying at this hotel again and that the front desk clerk “should” have told me about the change. Bad business, stay elsewhere if you can. Btw I travel 26 days out of the month and this is the first IHG hotel to do this. Stay at the holiday inn, you get free breakfast and better beds for the same price.

This was so much better than the Hampton across the street (where I stayed last time I was in the area). I will absolutely stay again when in the area and would recommend. Great stay! Update: For all reviews that mention the lack of breakfast, the front desk staff made this extremely clear during check-in that this is an Extended Stay hotel that does NOT offer breakfast. I do agree that the price per night can get expensive, especially for the middle of Nebraska.
