I can't tell you how wonderful the GM is at this property. She was kind and funny and helpful, helpful, helpful.
I had two separate hotel experiences today. The hotel where I ultimately cancelled my reservation due to a front desk person's complete disrespect and then there's the Hampton where I was greeted with a smile and kindness.
The rooms are beautiful and so is the entire hotel inside and out.
Thank you for being so wonderful this afternoon, Katie. YOU were the experience today.

It was a good stay for one night. Service was good, the front desk lady was friendly and accommodating. I got upgraded to a handicap room and I appreciated the extra space. I will say the decor is starting to age but the room was clean. Not many guests in the weekend since many who stay here work out in the oil fields so it was very quiet during my stay. Breakfast was standard Hampton Inn. Besides falling behind other Hamptons in refurbishments, it’s a good hotel for Dickinson.

As I have noted in other reviews, I travel quite often and try to stay in Hilton properties whenever available. Hampton Inns are clearly the most consistent in terms of meeting expectations for cleanliness, comfort, great service and overall value. This particular Hampton Inn is one of the nicest anywhere in the country. I was there for 10 days so I had an opportunity to really experience it. The day I arrived I noticed that the desk chair would not elevate, which is important for me due to back issues. I mentioned this to Harper at the front desk and when I returned to my room after work the next day, there was a brand new desk chair waiting. Very clean room and comfortable mattresses on the beds, very nice bathroom with a great shower, all amenities in working order, including refrigerator, microwave, TV, etc. And the climate control worked just right as well, which is somewhat of an anomaly. Totally meets or exceeds expectations in all areas. And I have to mention too that the staff, from front desk to housekeeping, are all very kind, helpful and make you feel like they really appreciate having you as a guest. Nothing but good things to say about this HI. And it's in a great location; walking distance to numerous nice restaurants; right off of I-94.
The only recommendation I would make is to maybe increase the lighting in the rooms a little.
