  friendly staff got me what I needed. very clean room and the breakfast was really good. Just wish I could have used my AARP to get a discount

  We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Winston-Salem while in town for a tournament, and overall had a very nice experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and looked to be recently renovated. While a few of the finishes weren’t perfect, they were done well enough that it didn’t take away from our stay. The hotel was likely fully booked due to events in the area, so it did get a bit noisy at times, and sound carried more than expected through the walls and doors. Still, everything else made up for it. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The buffet setup was a bit smaller than I expected, but the seating area was spacious and easy to navigate, even during busy times. I also needed to use the laundry facilities during our stay, which was very convenient. There was a small issue with my key card not working to access the laundry room, but Patricia at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. She assisted me immediately and even propped the door open so I could go back and forth without any hassle. Patricia was also the one who welcomed us when we first arrived, and she truly made a lasting impression. Her friendliness and attentiveness added a personal touch that made the stay feel warm and inviting. Overall, a great stay with just a couple of minor inconveniences. The excellent customer service really stood out, and we would definitely stay here again.

  My partner and I stayed the weekend here to work at Triad Anime Con, and we definitely enjoyed our stay! As soon as we walked in, Patricia welcomed us like long lost friends and made us feel right at home! The other staff were also nice, but she was absolutely the highlight of Holiday Inn Express. I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her each evening when we came back from the convention. It was sad to say goodbye the night before we checked out, as it felt like I was leaving behind a new friend. You can tell that she has a genuinely warm and sweet personality, and she really respects each person she meets.(⁠✿⁠^⁠‿⁠^⁠) Our room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast was great each day! The way to get in and out is a teeny bit wonky, but I don't fault anyone for it at all, and don't think it affects your stay once you get there. I hope the next time we visit Winston-Salem, we'll stay here again!(⁠人⁠*⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ⁠+

  The night time front desk recepitionist was not helpful at all. She had a terrible attitude and did not answer my questions until I repeated them multiple times. For example, when i told her I would like to make a reservation, she immediately said they were booked without even asking what date i was interested in. She incorrectly entered my entire reservation including entereing an entirely different name on my reservation. I even had to call back multiple times to request an email comfirmation (I never received it). I had to call the corporate help desk, who barely fixed the error by adding my name as a secondary guest. However, they eventually cancelled the reservation without my authorization. I had to ask a friend to go in person to make the reservation as I was coming from Virginia. The only silver lining was the day time front desk receptionist was friendlyand helpful. I would not recommend this hotel.
