Rooms are basic but functional, clean, no complaints there, you get what you pay for.(Granted their rates are higher than average for the area)
Location is okay and seems safe, they take care of the place.
Service, I can't say so much for. (See below)
I paid for 4 nights thru booking.com, arrived at the hotel, and was told I needed to pay a deposit of $50 since I was an in state resident, no problem, paid upon arrival.
12 hours later my "$50 deposit" updates on my account to $150. I speak to a manager in the morning, she tells me that it updated to $150 because I was an in state resident, doesn't make sense to me because that was why I was told I had to pay $50. I dont make a problem of it, skip to Friday, I check out, no problems. Over the weekend I receive my original $50 deposit. I call the hotel on Wednesday to inquire, why i hadn't received my entire deposit back. The Manager, Ruben, tells me that the woman that checked me in was new and hit the deposit button 3 times instead of once, but assures me he's releasing my funds immediately.
Friday, I still have not received my "deposit" back, I call and speak to Ruben, the manager, again, he assures me that all funds have been released by the hotel, and it is my bank holding the funds.
Now it is Tuesday, 2 weeks later. I checked out on the 15th, I have spoken to my bank, Spark By Hilton still has a $100 hold on my account. No resolve from this hotel, or their "online support".
With my past experiences staying at Hilton brand hotels, I am severely disappointed in Spark on my past business trip, and strongly discourage anyone from staying here.
