The hotel itself is beautiful and in a nice location. I marked it 4/5 because the breakfast was not of normal embassy suites quality, and I couldn’t check in online even after calling the desk they couldn’t push it through, and we were running late and really wanted to just go straight to our room with a digital key. The rooftop bar was super cute but the bartender was a bit abrupt and basically came to us 10 mins before closing and asked us to leave since they were closing soon and he “wanted to go home”.

Amazing experience! The staff was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located within walking distance to so much. The rooftop bar was fantastic, so picturesque with the battleship in the background. Our guest room was very nice, updated, clean and well kept. The evening social was a great added bonus, they provide complimentary drinks and snacks in the evenings.

For those who might think the staff cares about customers, especially military members, you are wrong. From the moment I called to get clarification about the rooms and facilities to the moment I checked out, there seemed to be no compassion for the customer. Always quick short answers to get the conversation over with, trying to tell you what you want to hear, IF they are actually listening to you.
Started with a lie about their affiliation and connection with the convention center next door, not a joint enterprise. Booked a room under false pretenses.
Parking is in a city owned garage next door, pay the city not the hotel for overnight stays it is cheaper. Have fun with the elevator situation after that.
Checking in was not the smoothest for sure. Very slow overwhelmed desk at a peak time with several large group events that they knew about.
Went room, Not what was booked. Could not get service desk to answer the phone at any point during stay, and had no time to wait in ridiculous check-in line again due time lost and our event to attend would start soon.
Steam lounge bar ,2nd floor, makes you sit outside in the cold if you show them the drink voucher. The drink voucher is for truly gross undrinkable draft beer or ok cocktails. Money could have been spent, if you treated people right and had consumable drinks.
The overnight stay was on a terrible dirty fold out couch bed without enough pillows, sheetsor towels. Again nobody picked up phones called from room went by desk to find nobody.
Steam lounge for breakfast, food was actually pretty good, worst coffee I have had in a long time, and employees (not all, just the ones with the actual food and drinks) rude once again.
Check out time, 2 hours prior to, house keeping knocks and enters while we are showering and packing up, soo awesome. I finally decided to wait out the very slow front desk to inform them of the room issues and turn in the cell phone that was just sitting on the dirty couch when we got into our room. As I approached the man at the desk could not get 2 seconds of attention to me. As I was trying to explain, he abruptly interrupts to say I don't see any pictures of a dirty room. Clearly not listening. I have to restate that this is a phone found that has no power. With the speed of his rehearsed response, they must go through complaints about cleanliness often.
This hotel has promise, if they could get the staff to act like they care about guests.

Really enjoyed this hotel. The front desk was very friendly at check-in and very helpful. The rooms are very nice. Ate dinner at the restaurant on the second floor and it was fantastic. Had a New York strip steak and it was great. Had a really good bartender with great drinks. We’ll stay here again when in Wilmington. Very, very convenient to everything downtown.

This has been an unfortunate experience for my family. My mom drove down to help me with getting into my new apartment and chose to stay with Embassy, she was told that you guys honor price match. The stay has ended up costing her over a hundred extra dollars. Each time she’s come back to the hotel the restaurant has been closed. I’ve had to DoorDash her food every single day and this morning she went and got breakfast only for it to be ice cold. At this point if this is how Hilton chooses to treat its Honors members, it may be a good time to begin hanging up the towel. The only positive thing she’s shared about this experience has been that the gentleman pulling up her truck has been extremely polite.
She picked your hotel because of the amenities only to find there were none to be had, resulting in expenditures above and beyond her budget because she’s in need of DoorDash for every meal.
Do better.
