Room was clean. Good location close to town. Linens were dated and mattress was very worn. Shower head was loose and didn't spray well. Breakfast was very poor. Would rate the breakfast a 1 out of 10. Very friendly staff

Great value for the price, but the service was disappointing. I booked the hotel a few weeks in advance and received both a confirmation email and a reminder email on the day of my trip. After a three-hour drive, I arrived at the motel around 5 p.m., where the front desk attendant informed me with noticeable attitude that my card had declined and that they had “tried to contact me.” This was concerning, as I checked my email, spam folder, and call log, and there were no messages, missed calls, or attempts to charge my card. While my partner and I were trying to understand the situation, the front desk employee repeatedly interrupted us and responded with dismissive remarks such as “like I said,” which made the interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. Since we were exhausted from traveling, we decided to proceed with the reservation. Ironically, the same card they claimed had declined worked immediately with no issue. I do not believe any contact attempt was actually made, as there is no record of a call or email, and my reservation confirmation emails indicated everything was set. While the stay itself was reasonably priced, the customer service experience at check-in was frustrating and unprofessional.

Not a bad hotel. Farther off the beaten path than I expected, but my fault for not digging deeper before booking. It is right off the highway, but thst puts it several miles away from downtown Waynesville and nothing around it without driving a bit. Hotel room feels more like a motel 6 level. Cheap furniture, blah looking. Amenities decent eith big screen TV, microwave, and fridge. Room was very cold when I entered, but it warmed fast with floor heater.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful, especially when recommending restaurants. Your room gets a bag with 2 water bottles, some microwave popcorn and a package of cookies 🍪. It was a nice added touch. Plus the leaves changing color was beautiful. Thank you Best Western

This motel was just fine. We wanted to be in the Smokies at peak color change, so we booked what we could afford, knowing that would mean some compromises. Pros: -Safe and beautiful location. Our room looked out at the foliage and the mountains, and we felt secure in our room. -Convenient to exploring Western NC. We were able to get everywhere we wanted to, including the national park and Asheville, in an hour or less! -The room was clean. -Staff was not rude. Cons: -PAPER. THIN. WALLS. I don’t understand the reviews that talk about the motel being quiet because we could hear EVERYTHING outside our room and in the adjoining room. We had a connecting room, which may have played a role, but we did not request that. We had different neighbors in that connecting room every night of our stay, and we could hear every sound they made. Every word, snore, and more… which also means they could hear us. It did not feel private in the least. -Breakfast was a joke. Half the reason we chose this place was for the complimentary “continental” breakfast… there was one waffle maker, a few bagels, cereal, a few pieces of fruit, and instant grits/oatmeal. This was highly disappointing, as I had seen reviews raving about the breakfast. We would have booked elsewhere had we known breakfast was not truly what we needed to fuel our morning hikes. -The room was TIGHT. It was just my husband and me who usually have no issues in small quarters, but we had nowhere to put our stuff. We declined housekeeping for the duration of our 3-night stay—even though we really needed towels, as they did not provide enough when they serviced the room before our stay—just because our stuff was all over the place and we knew it would be in housekeeping’s way. For the price, this place was just ok and mostly served its purpose as a clean place to rest our heads, but the cons were certainly significant.
