  This hotel has been my go to choice every time I'm in Wake Forest. I spent a hundred nights at this location in 2025. Early 2026, the elevator malfunctioned and still hasn't been fixed two months later. There's very little accomidation around this and I had to specifically ask during check in because there is no warning. I have to end up downgrading most of the time to get a lower floor. Really disappointing and hopefully it gets fixed soon because I'll be staying at a different location

  Nice size rooms, all kitchen amenities for an extended stay, comfortable beds and pleasant staff. Elevator was out of service at the time, but these things happen.

  My room was excellent. It was noisy though. Didn't get much sleep with all the noise the refrigerator was making. No breakfast either. The coffee machine was broken the whole time.

  Review: Unacceptable lack of communication and accessibility Rating: ⭐ / 5 I am beyond disappointed with my recent experience at the Candlewood Suites in Wake Forest. We had a confirmed reservation and arrived after a very long day of travel, only to be told upon check-in that the elevator was broken. The only available room was on the 4th floor. My husband is handicapped, making it physically impossible for us to accept a room that requires stairs. While I understand that mechanical failures happen, the issue here was the complete lack of proactive communication. The staff admitted the elevator had been down, yet no one bothered to call or email guests with existing reservations. Had I been notified earlier in the day, I could have easily secured other accommodations. Instead, we were left stranded in the lobby late at night with no solution. To make matters worse, the staff offered little to no assistance. Rather than helping us find a nearby hotel or offering a genuine apology, they simply cycled through excuses as to why they hadn't notified us. If you have mobility issues—or simply expect basic professional courtesy—I would strongly suggest staying elsewhere. Their lack of regard for handicapped accessibility and guest communication is unacceptable.
