The Hampton Inn Statesville is just minutes away from beautiful Lake Norman State Park. We are adjacent to Outback Steakhouse, one of the best restaurants in the country. Across the street is a movie theatre for your enjoyment and dining and shopping options are within one mile of the hotel. In Statesville, North Carolina our hotel is located off Interstate I-77 at Exit 49-B and only minutes from I-40.

Our room did not have enough towels and when we went to the front desk, we were given bath mats. Then we saw laundry bins in the dining room filled with towels so we grabbed what we needed for the night. The next morning, there seemed to be more staff, so maybe this was a one-off. The next day, the breakfast looked gross, the dining room was dirty though there seemed to be more staff, only 1 person attending the dining room. The bed was comfortable and there were only about 5 TV channels. The wifi worked. Overall, not what we've come to expect from Hampton.

Room was fine, breakfast was just ok (food not very quick to be refreshed, juice was watery mess at times, dining room slow to be cleaned), the room service was fine as was the front desk staff, but just felt overall like the hotel itself needed a little refresh of the building and facilities, or maybe just a good, deep clean. Signs of wear in the bathroom and shower. Laminate flooring a little scuffed, and just didn't feel as well cleaned or maintained as the better Hampton Inns I've been to. Not terrible, just not as good as I've come to expect. It was also a host hotel for the soccer tournament we were at for the weekend, so they might have been a little overwhelmed and a little understaffed for the event.
