Hi. After reading multiple recent reviews, I was honestly shocked by how guests were treated at this location, especially families who had contracts, planned major events for a year, and were left scrambling at the last minute due to double booking and negligence by management. What stood out most is that management (Kelly Pope) is clearly capable of responding to positive feedback, yet completely ignores serious, documented complaints involving financial loss, extreme stress, and ruined milestone events. That silence speaks volumes. Mistakes happen. What’s unacceptable is no accountability, no public response, and no attempt to make things right when guests are clearly harmed. If this is how guests are treated when things go wrong, that’s not a hotel I’m willing to support. I’d rather pay more and stay somewhere that values integrity, communication, and basic respect for their guests. I will be staying at Smithfield Station instead, where professionalism and guest care actually seem to matter. Edit: From a guest’s perspective, this response completely misses the point. As someone deciding where to stay, I am not going to call a hotel to ask them to explain multiple detailed negative reviews involving contracts, double bookings, financial loss, and ruined milestone events. Public reviews exist so potential guests can assess how a business handles problems, especially serious ones. What stands out is not that mistakes happened, but that there is no public accountability under those reviews. If everything was truly resolved and made right, that should have been addressed directly and publicly where the complaints were made. Leaving those reviews unanswered while responding to positive feedback gives the impression that serious issues are being avoided, not resolved. It’s also not professional to reference personal hardships in a public business response. Guests dealing with canceled events, lost money, and medical stress were clearly going through personal crises as well and they were paying customers. This is a place of business, and professionalism and transparency matter. I am not affiliated with the group involved. I’m simply a potential guest reading reviews and deciding where to spend my money. Based on how these situations appear to have been handled publicly, I’ve chosen to stay elsewhere. Negative reviews aren’t “hurtful” when they reflect real experiences. They’re informative and how a business responds to them says everything.
