Ali wanted my permission for my wife, a doctor, to check in to this Holdiay Inn. Mind you, my wife made her own reservation and paid with her own credit card. But because my name was on the IHG rewards account, Ali thought it appropriate to hold my wife at the front desk, refusing her the room that she paid for, until she received her husband's permission to have a hotel reservation. It took several phone calls before Ali would allow my wife to check in to the room she had paid for. I contacted IHG customer relations where I was assured this was normal procedure for IHG.
