The person beside my room did play loud music. Also one of the doors in my room didn't work.

Musty, moldy odor as soon as we walked in the room. Front was decorated nicely. Overpriced for the way the room smelled.

Even if the hotel is best in town, I’d recommend to look (drive) further. Realizing that this is a relatively cheap two-star hotel, I was expecting more. First of all, the rooms show significant wear and tear, and the beds are really old. Second, if your room happens to overlook the adjacent trailer park and you are a light sleeper, get your earplugs ready - the dogs kept parking well after the midnight. The fact, that the bathroom didn’t have amenities was a minor nuisance, as was the way the receptionist who checked us in looked like he had been partying for a few days in a row - his shirt was dirty, full of weird stains.

Not the worst holiday inn I’ve stayed at but very far from the best. Room is mostly clean, some questionable areas. Bathroom toilet and tub re-caulked in a hurry. Water pressure is nonexistent, Toilets are super short which is not ideal if you are a man or an older person. Coffee was like mud, had to stop at a McDonald’s. They did have breakfast but not the full spread of fruit and all that. Wires hanging out all over the place for the phone and TV. Rooms seem to be kept strategically a little darker or there’s just not enough light so you don’t look at anything too closely. At least there was direct TV

I have stayed at Holiday Inns my entire life and this by far was the worse I had the misfortune to be at. It honestly is like corporate forgot about this hotel. It DEFINITELY needs to be on corporate's radar and needs some major upgrades done immediately. First, the POSITIVES.... ALL the staff , from checking in with the front desk reps to interacting with housekeeping requesting additional towels , all the staff was awesome, Also the beds were remarkably clean considering how the overall room was. To be honest, I feel the staff was the only saving grace keeping this hotel going. The rest is all downhill from here. The night we checked in , the hotel was very busy. We were assigned room 228. Once we opened the door, we noticed immediately it smelled of smoke, and the room itself was super dark even with having ALL lights on in there. And I noticed something in this room that I have never had in any Holiday Inn hotel I've stayed at. It had an outside door with a balcony, which actually I was ok with, because we could open that back.door and let fresh air in. Another thing that I was not use to ever seeing in a Holiday Inn's bathroom was a bathmat and it was not a brand new one either. It had been very used to the point where multiple holes were showing from where the suction parts underneath came out and mildew was on there as well. I took a picture of this downstairs and showed the front desk, and they said people have slipped before in their bathtubs before and that's why they are there. They suggested that I use a towel on top of that so I would not have to touch the mat itself while in the shower. Also, the entire surround of the bathtub looked horrible. It needs seriously cleaned up and re-caulk. The toilet was set insanely low. This makes it very difficult for people with bad knees and bad hips to use. Ironically, though, you go down to the first floor and use the rest room there by the front desk and the toilet is set at a normal level that most people would have in their own homes. I do not understand why they would have a normal setting for the toilet downstairs in their lobby but in individual rooms where people should have access to their own bathroom area at any time, it's not at a comfortable level. Friday morning, we woke up to a very chilly room. When l got up I noticed cold air coming in from the back door facing the outside. There was a gap along the side allowing cold air to get in. I was very grateful we had no issues with setting the system temperature up some, but that door is something else that needs fixed in the room. Another thing that lasted through our entire stay was a dog barking during the night and during the day while we were there. We arrived on a Thursday and left on a Saturday, all night on Thursday night into Friday afternoon, the dog continued to bark and then we were out for several hours visiting and came back to the barking continuing Friday night into Saturday morning. We also noticed an odd smell coming from the room where all the barking was at. When we went down for breakfast, we did tell the front desk ladies what was going on, but they told us no one else had said anything about a dog upstairs barking. We also told them that there was an unusual smell at the end of the hall. The one rep did go up and investigate. And she then came down and said she was alerting somebody because she could smell it to, she did not know what that smell was But she was going to have the staff check on it. By this time, the guest and a fairly large dog came down to the lobby and left. After breakfast (which by the way coffee was not the best. Other Holidays Inns have a special coffee machine that people can be accessed 24 hours, here at this hotel they use regular Mr Coffee maker pots ), we went back upstairs to pack everything up to come home. This was a very disappointing stay for a Holiday Inn. The following message is for corporate......IHG, YOU HOLD ALL THE CARDS AND HAVE THE POWER TO DO WHATS RIGHT FOR YOUR DEDICATED STAFF AND DEDICATED CUSTOMERS. YOU NEED TO FIX THIS HOTEL NOW!!!
