  Tv in the room had to be switched to English speaking (which is NOT a big deal its just shows cultural diversity). *to do this you find a show/channel you like pess the "VD" button on remote. Use the "direction" buttons to select the language and scroll up to the "X". Using "CC-captions" feature helps with the bad sound from the built-in TV speaker. *caution it is difficult to hear but Turning the volume up only makes it loud for guests around your room. It does no good for in room use.* A walk in shower has better floor texture than the shower/tub combo. I myself prefer the walk-in shower for safty. Freeze dried candy and fruit is available for purchase at the counter. It was satisfying to have a sweet treat that did not have a 38% price increase. Decor painting (PRINTS) can be purchased from the management?? However there was Noone on site to confirm if the origin artist gets some the profits so I did not buy what I hoped was a local artist painting. Room key(card) did not work 3 different times but no big deal just a quick trip to the front desk. It was annoying but not a "deal breaker." I do recommend staying here for a night or 2 it is in a quiet location a short distance from UNCP a food lion, cook out, a couple gas stations and other food establishments are about 3 miles from the hotel.

  I have no complaints about our visit at this hotel. Outside was adequately lit and well-tended, and the lobby was bright and clean. The receptionist was helpful and nice when we came to see if we could check in without having a reservation. Our room was clean, stocked and air conditioned. The continental breakfast was standard fare, but I'm always glad just to have access to a quick cup of coffee early in the morning. Checkout was easy. We will be back on future road trips.

  Room was nice and clean with a friendly staff. Parking lot is small and no room for larger vehicles.

  Excellent hotel and staff! Quiet and secluded from road noise. Staff was very helpful and friendly! Room was clean in a great location. Ms. Samantha, a front desk Manager, was especially helpful offering information about local attractions and restaurants. Samantha provided me a map of U.N.C. Pembroke and made sure everything was great with my room. There are plenty of fast serve food locations near by. Nice place to work out inside hotel. I highly recommend this holiday inn express! An update, Ms. Rose was extremely helpful today with the check in and getting an excellent room location. Holiday Inn Pembroke continues to amaze!
