    This property was a pleasant surprise. We were having an event in the area and the Hilton Garden Inn Charlotte/Mooresville was the host hotel. The property is well maintained; the staff is polite and professional. The room was clean, well appointed with a pod coffee maker and the usual things. There was plenty of storage, including drawers, which seem to be disappearing in hotels for some reason. The breakfast was more than usual for a hotel of this type, with real, not powdered, eggs. The buffet prepared for our awards banquet was excellent (chicken, salmon, whipped redskin potatoes, steamed vegetables, tossed salad that was not all iceberg lettuce and mac and cheese, a southern tradition. There is a wine/beer bar and a large seating area in the lobby with free popcorn. My expectations were exceeed.

    Booked a handicap accessible room with a roll in shower. Now being a Hilton Honors member you would have thought they would get this right. However upon entering the room we notice the tube in the bathroom. Went to front desk and they didn't have one available. Told me he saw where I did request this through Hilton honors. Being a Hilton Honor program recipient we guess you can't be handicap and never request special needs assistance. Believe it or not, this is the second time this has happened with Hilton Honors. Complaints not answered from the first time. So I guess this is one me for using them again. Marriott Bonvoy will not treat guest this way. Why do an Honors program when you simply don't honor!
